“This was our fourth or fifth time staying at Whiskey Mountain. I am always impressed with the cabin, the professionalism of the owner and the cleanliness of the unit. I have three kids, my husband, and I and the cabin is the perfect size for us. We stay at the Leakey cabin and it feels like a home away from home. We will definitely be back.”

“Communication was great we had concerns about the river flooding. Our host was quick to communicate and advise us everything was safe to travel. Upon arrival the cabin first smelt so clean, second appeared clean as well. Wouldn’t recommend for more than 2 people. Bed was super comfy and the AC couldn’t have been more perfect. Was so frikin cold. Loved it. Went for a run Saturday morning during our stay the views were great. Highly recommend Happy Hollow, and Taqueria San Juan and Frio Coffee. We...

“The host was super friendly and helpful. The location was convenient and secluded though this cabin is situated with several other cabins in close proximity. The cabin behind us housed young adults who played loud music until midnight. There was one fire pit that is shared among the cabins. There were ants around the seating area of the fire pit and a chicken coop where you could get fresh eggs. No roosters thankfully. Our cabin was great other than a few issues. We would have enjoyed our stay...

“The Utopia River Retreat was just what we needed after 3 nights camping out in Big Bend. The cabin we stayed in (Kickapoo) was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed (cooking utensils, bath towels, linens). The grounds were peaceful and scenic and had a nice swimming pool and volleyball net as well as riverfront access. At this time the river on the property didn't look great for swimming (no deep spits, tree branches, etc), but if you want to swim, Utopia City Park has a deep...

While at the house, my family of all ages had many provided indoor and outdoor activities that kept everyone busy. Just a few of those were swimming pool/hot tub, volleyball, putting green, shuffle board, movie areas and more. The hosts were excellent communicators. Location, location, location-ideal!
