“Stayed for just one night in this lovely, character-filled home to watch our daughter run the Tongariro Goat the next day (usually stay for two nights but unfortunately couldn't this time).What a great place! So much character, great open plan living area, plenty of sleeping space with comfy beds and a lovely setting. Definitely want to come back and enjoy the place more fully, including the hot tub!Sienna was fantastic to deal with.Many thanks .”

“We stayed here at National Park to ski up on the Mountain. Although the weather was not that good we had a great time and it was nice to relax at Turquoise Lodge. The fire was great and plenty of room to spread out. Great facilities, including a coffee machine. Thanks. ”

“The property was spectacular and delivered exactly what we had expected and more. That is on the owner. When I could break through the AI chatbot that VRBO provides for feedback the owner was responsive and helpful. When I return to this property I will seek out the owner directly and cut out VRBO. Loved the property and highly recommend it highly.”

“Our stay was amazing, although the road noise in the two front rooms where annoying I guess it's only until the road is opened again on state highway 1. The venue was lovely and we all enjoyed the 1920s theme, we even dressed in period clothing for dinner on the sat night. The house was well set up with everything we needed, and close to visiting the mountain. I would recommend this venue, especially for large groups.”

“The house was great, we stayed so my husband and brother in law could do the Tongariro Crossing. We all stayed including the kids and there was plenty of room and had everything we needed. John was great allowing a super late checkout for us also. The housr was clean and tidy. Perfect property for our stay and family numbers. Would highly recommend this property ”

“Very lovely home, with great outlook.. Fantastic location. You feel like are away from it all but very easy walk into town. Loved being able to bring our dogs whom loved the huge field we could throw a ball in.”

“Cosy warm family home. Had everything we needed and more. Plenty to entertain the kids on a rainy afternoon..table tennis, toys, PlayStation and a stack of DVDs. Head up the road by car to explore the mountain or a short walk in to Ohakune town. We loved our stay!”

It met our needs to our own space. it was warm and comfortable. only problem was Bookabatch payment system that rejected second payment on two different cards. “My family and i had a stop over on our way back to Wellington from Northland. Perfect, clean and magnificent gardens, highly recommended. Next time we might have to stay a few extra nights, it has everything you need even a highchair for the littlies”

Okay for one or two nights

"The location of the hotel is awesom but the hotel needs an update urgently. Wd had one of the more exensive rooms but the toilet was leaking, the fridge didn't work properly, we could hear the neighbours talking and snoring and the noise from the terrace lasted untill 10 pm. But the views on the vulcanoes are spectacular and the staff is serviceminded and friendly."
