“Pet friendly and plenty of dog walking down to the river. We stayed one night; the cottage was neat, the kitchen was functional. The bathroom was a good size and seemed accessible if needed. Fresh coffee was awesome! Would stay here again.”

“Property is in a good location and clean inside. However take care in reading the property description. The "laundry" is a coin-operated laundry in the stairwell that takes quarters to run. Gas grill was filthy and had no fuel. The "wood" in the fire pit consisted of twigs collected from the trees around the property. The kitchen was not well equipped. Example: 3 dinner plates in a condo that sleeps 8.”

“This little gem was perfect for me and my husband! It was very clean which is definitely our top priority. We have to make/cook our own meals, it had everything we needed. The host was responsive and very nice. The view is beautiful. The price is right. I have nothing bad to say whatsoever! I’ve been all over and it’s hard to find a place to check all the boxes. This place did. The photos don’t do it justice! We would definitely stay again. ”

“This cabin is located in the middle of a national forest not far from the Colorado border in a remote location. It is surrounded by native vegetation and wildlife. While you are having breakfast, you can often see a family of deer grazing just outside the dining room. On our drive to town, we also came across a family of wild turkeys. There is a profound sense of calm and solitude.

“Dark Canyon was indeed a great off grid experience. The 360-degree views around the cabin with no other humans around offered something not found very often.
