“The "Isle of View" was the perfect location for my friends and I. Situated a little more than an hour from Baton Rouge and New Orleans, we were able to visit both cities and retreat to the quiet castle at night. The resident Hemingway cat that oversaw the property was very affectionate. Bring cat treats! We will stay again. Thank you Marcus.”

“When a group a family who isn’t related but is more like family than actual family needs to get together for a long weekend, this is the place to stay. We had multiple families stay here, we organized meals to split between all the families, and we had plenty enough room for all of us. The detached cottage was adorable. “We took our daughter and her three kids and another grandson to Louisiana to celebrate school being out. The home was great. It was in a perfect spot for the boy to fish. My wife kayaked over into the marshy area. It was a perfect base for our other activities as we drove into New Orleans one day and then on to the Mississippi beaches. We also took a swamp boat road. “I echo all the 10/10 reviews. We too brought our e-bikes and took several wonderful rides around old Mandeville. The bike trails are the best I’ve ridden. Lake Pontchartrain shoreline is a short stroll away, and there are many nearby eateries and watering holes to experience. The cottage is awesome. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice. It was perfect for our stay.”

“The house was nice, good location, easy check in/out. My only complaint is that the water from the pipes had a bit of a smell to it (the faucets and the shower). Other than that everything was as advertised. Great for our Mardi Gras trip. ”

The floorplan of this place is great for families with kids -- lots and lots of sleeping options, cleverly disguised as couches and murphy beds. The one downside during our stay is that one shower wasn't working properly (and we had chosen this property in part because it had two bathrooms). Having to share one bathroom between multiple adults was a bummer. The owner was very responsive and thankful...
