“Fishing was great, sm mouth bass here with beautiful flat rocks that made it easy to get around. The surroundings were awsome with views of remnants of an old paper mill right across the river. You can watch tubers come down sacandaga river where it meets hudson river. When tide is low safe to swim definitely able to dip in pockest to get wet. Too cold still. House was perfect for long weekend. Lovely private backyard, easy walk down to river. Clean and comfortable beds homie decor.showers are...

“I liked it very much, the house was very nice and nicely decorated. Everything was there even washer and dryer. The view was so excellent and if it was warmer weather would have enjoyed sitting on deck overlooking the water. Location great, near markets, etc. I would rent again. Jan”

“The property was pretty and private, with a beautiful view. Very quiet town. The cabin was clean, updated, and nicely decorated. Our kids loved sleeping in the loft! The owner was very friendly and checked in with us when we arrived. There was a storm the night before we were to check out and they had the driveway plowed quickly. They were also nice enough to offer a later check out time to make sure we could leave safely. Close to Oak Mountain for skiing!Definitely recommend!”

“First of all, this place is just gorgeous. The decor, cleanliness and cozy feel can't be beat. Yes, the lack of running water is challenging, but I had a warm shower each day and even managed to shave. Cooking, washing and showering just took longer. I wasn't in a rush. My only complaint is the incinerator toilet. I think my bladder is just too large, so caution there. Otherwise, it worked well. The communication was rapid and effective. I'd stay here again for sure!”

“To say this stay was perfect would seem exaggerated to some but to me it seems it doesn’t to it justice! Choosing the cabin as a first time “off-grid” goer was a bit intimidating but with WiFi a few walks away and the views made me forget about that. The hot shower and the bathroom steps away was exceptional to offer on this type of getaway. To be in this privacy of a property with this type of view is something you don’t just get to experience so easily, I know this because I have been to many...

Everything your could possibly need and then some at the cabin. River is right in the back yard and great swimming. We brought some tubes and spent alot of time just floating around. “This home was beautifully set up. We really enjoyed cooking meals and relaxing in the hot tub. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great...it rained most of our stay. We took a few road trip and hung out in the house which was lovely. extremely low in the lake”
