“Modernt hotell med pool. Fräscht och mycket trevlig personal. Regnade in i rummet under ett skyfall. Detta skulle kanske gett en kompensation på priset.. Nära till havet, ca 50 meter. Gratis utlåning av surfingbrädor.”

“Helt underbart avkopplande att spendera ett par dagar här. Att ha duschen under bar himmel är grymt och att inte ha fönster och knappt väggar är annorlunda och fantastiskt. A/C behövs inte när nattens vinds sveper genom rummet...Härlig pool och miljö i området. Några få restauranger utanför som kompletterar hotellets buffé (som är ganska dyr). Härligt med yoga på morgon och kväll (extra kostnad)”

“Great property right on the beach , in comparison the prices in the hotel / restaurant are higher ( which is to be expected) . Staff was lovely , the hotel could do with some small updates / upgrades. Location is very good, under 10 mins to walk into town. Great place if you are looking for something that not in overcrowded part of Sri Lanka ”

“The place is difficult to find, after booking they should send an email with a map to get there. The room is basic but clean. Good size room and bathroom. There is a fan but not a/c and during the night it is quite hot. Only cold water. There is a mosquito net but it is too short so mosquitoes get in the sleeping area. Basic breakfast with bread, jam, bananas and tea. They could provide sri Lankan breakfast if requested. It is possible to use a sort of sun bed provided at the first...

“Stayed for two weeks in September 2023. For starters, the host family at Talalla Freedom are wonderful. Helpful, friendly, adjusted to my food allergies, went over and beyond. Rs 250 for a pot of fresh tea. The pool is lovely and well kept, the view and access to Talalla beach is phenomenal (as long as you don't have any mobility issues. Beds are Sri Lanka firm but comfy. You can sit in a nice recliner with your tea and watch the monkeys walk by. The birds in the area are beautiful. Be aware...

“Very nice hosts, super service minded! The house is close to the Dickwella beach, on the opposite side of the main road. 2 miles away is the awesome surf beach Hirikitya. Our room was spacious with a large new bathroom and efficient AC. If you like Sri Lankan food, ask to swap the continental breakfast to Sri Lankan! The house can be a bit tricky to find, look for a sign after the ATM.”

“Vi var en grupp med vänner som tillsammans avslutade vår resa på Sri Lanka här. Hjälpsam och serviceinriktad personal. Poolen och närheten till havet gjorde vistelsen helt fantastisk! Ett stort minus till hotels.com som hade bokat tre rum för sex personer istället för sju personer som det stod i vår bokning.. MEN tack vare trevlig hotellpersonal så löste det sig ändå :)”
