The dinner was good, but far from great. The curryâs are way to salty. Same as for the breakfast (donât try the chocolate pancakes).

- Big minus for the hotels own landfill that you see if you take a walk outside the fences. They should really clean that up. Not ok!

âGreat property right on the beach , in comparison the prices in the hotel / restaurant are higher ( which is to be expected) . Staff was lovely , the hotel could do with some small updates / upgrades. Location is very good, under 10 mins to walk into town. Great place if you are looking for something that not in overcrowded part of Sri Lanka â

Ett stort minus till hotels.com som hade bokat tre rum för sex personer istĂ€llet för sju personer som det stod i vĂ„r bokning.. MEN tack vare trevlig hotellpersonal sĂ„ löste det sig Ă€ndĂ„ :)â
âBoendet var vĂ€ldigt bra, utmĂ€rkt frukost. Fint utbud med massage det gjorde vi, de var vĂ€ldigt duktiga o bra till ett bra pris. VĂ„rt rum var fantastiskt fint, förutom den lilla balkongen och att man kan utnyttja livingroom.Servicen var fantastiskt bra. Frukosten var mycket bra men ala carten var vĂ€ldigt torftig och trĂ„kig. Vi hade verkligen förvĂ€ntat oss en bĂ€ttre mat för ett sĂ„dant hotell med allt vad det innebĂ€r.

âVery nice hosts, super service minded! The house is close to the Dickwella beach, on the opposite side of the main road. 2 miles away is the awesome surf beach Hirikitya. Our room was spacious with a large new bathroom and efficient AC. If you like Sri Lankan food, ask to swap the continental breakfast to Sri Lankan! The house can be a bit tricky to find, look for a sign after the ATM.â
âStayed for two weeks in September 2023. For starters, the host family at Talalla Freedom are wonderful. Helpful, friendly, adjusted to my food allergies, went over and beyond. Rs 250 for a pot of fresh tea. The pool is lovely and well kept, the view and access to Talalla beach is phenomenal (as long as you don't have any mobility issues. Beds are Sri Lanka firm but comfy. âThe place is difficult to find, after booking they should send an email with a map to get there. The room is basic but clean. Good size room and bathroom. There is a fan but not a/c and during the night it is quite hot. Only cold water. There is a mosquito net but it is too short so mosquitoes get in the sleeping area. âSuch a lovely hotel located right on the beach, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to be slightly outside of Hiriketiya. Due to its location it is very quiet and peaceful. There are sun loungers on the beach as well as by the pool. It is super easy to get into the main town by tuktuk or a 30 minute walk. The staff are lovely and so attentive if you need a bite to eat I would recommend their pizza which are delicious. We loved our stay here and would 100% come back! â
