“Margaret was incredibly helpful in providing suggestions on how to navigate the city and provided excellent suggestions for restaurants. The morning breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room was very spacious, the couch was very comfortable and the bed was fantastic. After a full day of walking around Dover, this was a very special retreat. The views are just amazing. We will plan a trip to spend more time with Margaret.”

“Så bra boende! Läget är perfekt, värden Alex är mycket trevlig och serviceminded och frukosten var superfräsch och god. Extra bra att ha bilen parkerad på innergården när det är ett så centralt läge. ”

“Very easy living, the service was excellent. I could miss a bigger tv in front of the bed. Now it was a small far away up in the corner. ”

“Positives: friendly staff, good service, restaurant on site. Decent breakfast. Negative: Bathroom was not the cleanest. Thick carpet, not hygienic. Noise both from nearby road, rooms and hallway. But all in all a good stay.”

“I really loved the room on the top floor facing Dover Castle. It was like having a wonderful piece of art just outside the window. I also loved the whiteness and the minimalistic interiors of the place. I used the kitchenette and it was totally fine except from the fridge which was so cold my fresh vegetables froze. I stayed for 5 nights and the only really downsides of the place was that the toilets were not being cleaned for several days. The owners were also very slow in responding to...

“The room was very dirty and dusty, and the shower drain was clogged, making the shower unusable. The room was also very noisy, and we could clearly hear sounds from other rooms. The staff were friendly and polite. Sadly, the cleanliness and maintenance did not meet our expectations, so we would not choose to stay here again.”

“Allt var super ett stort plus AC”

“We had a wonderful stay here. The staff understands hospitality and will make you feel right at home. Our room was clean and spacious as well as extremely comfortable. We will stay again if we return to Dover”

“Lodge was beautiful in a very quiet secluded wooded area. It was well equipped with everything you need. Hot tub, BBQ and seating area lovely. Very comfortable bed and kitchen had everything you need. Really great stay.”

“Jättebra hotell och trevlig personal”

“Mycket trevlig personal, väldigt mysig miljö, trevlig pub och bra middag och frukost. Rekommenderas!!!”

“Burlington Hotel is a genuin and old english building with it´s history. For example in the elevator you feel like you travel back to the hotels big days. It is possible hard to keep the old air and make it modern. Although it need some renovation and fixing. A toilet with a step is not to recommend. Still I will stay at this hotel next time I visit Folkstone. The room is clean, the personal friendly and helpful. The breakfast had it all. I will recommend this hotel to friends.”

“Härlig utsikt över stranden och piren.”

“Vid genomresa via Eurotunnel så var det här perfekt. Laddning & parkering funkade perfekt. Rent rum där allt fungerade. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Frukost okej men enkel. Levde upp till förväntningarna.”

“Very nice little hotel with very nice and friendly staff. Close walk to the beach. A little hot in the room but to be expected in the summer. There was a fan in the room to cool it down a little. Slept very well. ”
