“2-night simple stay with family ranging in age from 11 to 82. Everybody had a lovely time. Everything is easy, clean and ready. Angela is wonderful and responsive, giving us the heads up on everything we needed to know. Can’t say enough good stuff. House and grounds are exactly as pictured. Riverfront is magical. Exceeded expectations!”

“The house was well equipped and clean. The property was very nice, lots of space to walk to the creek and I enjoyed the firepit. Quiet street so you can relax and listen to the creek and watch the stars. Theres an AC in the closet upstairs for the bedrooms that I didn't see at first. Overall great stay especially if you are going to Bethel Woods, 30 mins on back roads perfect place to stay for concerts. Thank you to the host . ”

“My friends and I had the best time at the Heavenly Getaway, Mcbride House. Pictures do not do it justice. We enjoyed exploring the house from the antiques to the game room. Plenty of space for all of us. Spotless and comfortable. Sitting outside at the end of our day on the porch looking at the stars was so relaxing. I cannot say enough about the host Bill. “I had my 50th Birthday party there for Memorial Day weekend. Amazing place!!!There is not one negative comment I can think of. I had a perfect celebration. There was so much to do there outdoor and indoor that I wish we could off stay longer. The owners were so nice. All my friends and family loved the house and the property. We all had a great time. “If you love peace, tranquility and the mountain air this is the place for you. The home is clean, well-stocked, very updated and perfect for a couple or family. The town of Hancock and the surrounding areas are very pet friendly. The river is just off the back yard and is clean, shallow and perfect for a dip or for your pet to swim. “Everything was perfect. We loved the home and amenities. It was so nice to be able to walk to the ponds from the house and catch fish. Hikes are close, and the farm by the house is a great stop for fresh milk and produce. Our boys just loved it, and it was such an enjoyable stay. We can't wait to go back! back. ”

“Let me start with the positives, the interior of the house was neat and tidy. Hosts were very nice and communication was good. Very close to Walnut Mountain Park. The negatives - I would not consider the property “rural” or a private setting. It’s on the corner of the main road and very close to a very rundown area. The yard was over grown (weeds coming through the stairs down to pond, garden beds full of weeds, and the driveway had grass growing through the cracks). As I mentioned the area is...
