The cottage boasts a spacious bathroom where you can unwind with a spa bath, offering a perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. The full kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, allowing you to enjoy delightful culinary experiences during your stay.



Upstairs, you'll find a large mezzanine bedroom featuring an inviting Queen bed, perfect for a restful night’s sleep, along with two comfortable armchairs to relax in while soaking up the gorgeous views of the surrounding native bushland. This spacious room also includes two additional fold out bed, providing extra space for guests or a cosy area for kids.



Downstairs, another bedroom with a Queen bed offers a wonderful view of the natural surroundings, complemented by a bookcase filled with a selection of great reads to enjoy during your stay.

Set in the beautiful Hepburn spa country on the edge of the Macedon Ranges, Elsie offers endless opportunities for exploration or simply serves as a peaceful sanctuary to do nothing at all. Despite its serene setting, Elsie is conveniently located within a scenic 1-hour 30-minute drive from Melbourne and is just an hour from Bendigo and Ballarat, with Castlemaine only 30 minutes away, making it an easily accessible getaway for city dwellers.

Different booking and travel platforms often use varying terms and language for spa-style bathing features. To avoid any confusion, please note that Elsie features 1 x indoor spa bath, rather than an outdoor hot tub.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We are now in the Fire Danger Period, which may begin as early as October and extend through to May, depending on conditions. CFA restrictions are in force, and no open flames are permitted at any time. This includes fire pits, wood-burning fireplaces, and any internal or external fires—these are strictly not allowed and form a firm house rule. All properties are equipped with safe alternative heating options for your comfort, and during this period we do not supply wood or kindling.
