“The location is amazing, as is the host. The downside is how outdated and under maintained the house is. The site says infers it is recently updated but that’s just a new floor (poor quality) and new countertops. The screen doors on the sliding door are broke, huge cobwebs in the top of the ceiling, the basement screen door is held closed with a rock, the laundry is creepy, etc. The trees are overgrown, and no drapes for privacy in the second property. “Emporium is an old town so we knew ahead of time the home was going to be older. I think they did a nice job bringing it up to date considering its age. Beds were fairly comfortable. The detergent used for the comforter was a bit strong. Fridge's water/ice machine didn't seem to work but there was fresh water in the fridge for us guests.
