A road trip with a difference - As the sign states, its the world's largest Virtual Solar System Drive. Neptune is found in a small town in the north-west of NSW (Central NSW) called Dunedoo. There are 24 planets located at Visitor Information Centres and on roadsides between the observatory and the regional NSW towns of Dubbo, Coonabarabran, Tamworth, Gulgong, Moree and Merriwa to allow visitors to stop and experience all things astronomical. Lovely place
We had a delightful stay at the Shearer's Huts and had a great time testing our telescopes and astrophotography while we were there. Beds are comfy, kitchen is cute, fridge was generously full. We appreciated the fire pit on cold nights too. Lucy is a wonderful host.
