Sitter på en höjd av nästan 7400 'och inbäddat mellan över 600' av Florida River frontage och foten av ett berg, är denna fastighet Colorado på sitt bästa. Denna fantastiska 3. 65 hektar stor egendom har högsta integritet i hjärtat av dalen omgiven av två stora områden ranches och ligger bara 8 miles till Main Street i Durango.

Du kommer fram till fastigheten på alla asfalterade vägar och passerar över en privat bro för att komma hem. Hemmet är upprättat som två separata, fristående vardagsrum totalt 3971 sf. (separerad av gemensamma väggar). Varje sida har sitt eget kök, vardagsrum, sovrum, bad, öppen spis och tvättstuga. Du kan boka en sida, eller för större grupper eller ultimata sekretess kan du reservera båda sidor.

I samband med denna webbnotering är det obligatoriskt att lista var och en separat. Denna lista är för "Bear House" ... en 2-story sida (2 sovrum). Noteringen för 3-sovrumssidan ("Trout House") är VRBO-notering # 1652431. En lista över hela huset (5 sovrum alternativ) kommer snart att läggas till.

Den 2 sovrum alternativet har ett öppet kök, matsal och vardagsrumslayout med 2 gästrum på andra våningen. Denna sida kan enkelt rymma 7 gäster (master har en king size-säng, sovrum 2 har tre enkelsängar och det finns en utdragbar soffa). Det finns ett bad på varje våning och tvätt på första våningen. Det finns en flodsten spis och köket är fullt utrustat. Det finns cirka 2000 sf så gott om utrymme att sprida ut.

OBS: Den andra sidan har en enkelsäng med en stor master svit (med ångdusch och bubbelbadkar), 2 extra rum och ett 2: a badrum. Koppla av på en av två verandor som vetter mot floden.

Spjälsäng och barnstol finns på begäran för antingen notering.

Oavsett vilket alternativ du väljer (eller båda för bästa möjliga integritet) är det här ett perfekt ställe att njuta av eftermiddagar som slappnar av på flera däck, kastar torkar på den brummande floden, njuter av vildmarken eller spelar på de grönskande gräsmattorna under de stigande träden. Den parkliknande egendomen kommer komplett med picknickbord, bänkar, hängmatta, gräsmatta och grillar.

We stayed for 3 weeks with 3 kiddos. This was one of our favorite vacations ever. We felt like we could relax and not stress about the kids making noise. The house has everything you need. We saw tons of wildlife and enjoyed fishing in the river. We caught some little trout fly fishing. We stayed July-Aug and slept with the windows open. It was cool and you can hear the river at night. It’s a beautiful place and we hope we can return one day. The owners were so kind and helpful. They respond quickly. This is a special place and our family will not forget it.

Beautiful Respite

The house is warm and welcoming and comfortable. The property is idyllic and rejuvenating. The owners make the entire process easy! Emails/texts are responded to promptly! This is the 5th summer that we have stayed at the Bear House and look forward to many more summers of being there!

Perfect Retreat

This was our second time staying here. We love the peace and quiet being just outside of town. The place is surrounded by trees and has a stream running through the front portion of the property. There is plenty of room for our kids to run around in the front yard and ride bikes on the driveway. Inside has everything we needed and a comfortable bed to sleep on. We definitely will be back in the future!

A Real Top Shelf Experience

Beautiful setting. Architecturally unique design. Well equipped house that can sleep 5-6 and plenty of family space to keep them happy. Windows down in the summer with river rushing and waterfall sounds made summer nights in fifties exceptionally great sleeping. A beautifully landscape with a river running through was incredible. It was within an hour of many other great places!

Great stay

My husband, myself, & my two college age children stayed for a week. This house was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed the trout stream and the close location to Durango. The hosts provided all the essentials as well as helpful notes. We would definitely stay here again!

Heaven on Earth

We had a wonderful stay at The Bear House and can’t wait to return. This home is like Heaven on Earth and is absolutely beautiful grounds. We loved putting the windows up and listening to the river out front, playing croquet and Farkle on the lawn. We are so thankful to have found this place. Everything is just as described and it was perfect for our Colorado getaway to cooler temps. Can not say enough good things. Loved this place!!!

Beautiful Property

We had a wonderful stay at this home. It had plenty of space inside and the property is gorgeous. We played games outside by the river and just enjoyed the breathtaking views all around us. It was an easy 15-minute drive into Durango for grocery shopping and restaurants.

Amazing

We rented both houses for our family of 9. It was a wonderful place to make a lifetime of memories. The houses are beautifully stocked for downtime when you’re not seeing the sites around the area. Games to play, peaceful scenery, and great fishing were the highlights. The owners are also exceptional at communicating with you and it’s very clear they want you to enjoy your stay. I highly recommend this property!

Cozy house

A comfortable, cozy home, plenty of room to enjoy family dinners in the kitchen and game nights in front of the fireplace. Thanks Nick for making our first white Christmas ever so pleasant! The kitchen was well stocked with basics, and the wood burning fireplace kept us cozy in the evenings. The property was beautiful, especially in the snow. Nick was very responsive to any questions, and checked in with us to be sure we had everything we needed We felt like this was truly home away from home.

Nice stay on the river.

We stayed in the 'Bear House' which had plenty of space and a nice kitchen, dining, and living area. Wonderful yards and near the river. We were in town for a wedding and this was still close enough to get to Durango and see family.

Beautiful mountain retreat

This was our second stay at this property and we enjoyed it so much. The house and linens were clean and there is everything you could need in the kitchen. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and spacious. We stayed with some friends who occupied the larger side and it was great being there together, but also having privacy. The grounds are well maintained and the kids and adults alike enjoyed exploring and playing. The fall weather was perfect and we can’t wait to visit again next year!

Perfect Serenity

Superb. We stayed in the Bear Cabin for 10 days. The property is just idyllic. The river running right through the vast front yard was so soothing, and my partner enjoyed quite a bit of flyfishing. The home was well appointed with everything you could possibly need. I had a few questions for Nick, the host, and he always answered quickly and was extremely helpful. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful and peaceful property

We loved staying here. The property was beautiful. We were in the one side alone for a few days but when another family showed up next door we barely noticed. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the space peacefully. Everything worked properly and was very clean. The hosts provided most things we needed. We loved being able to prepare our own food and wash our clothes before heading home. The kitchen was stocked with lots of pots and pans, dishes, etc. Beds were comfortable. The daytime temperatures were in the 90's and we were plenty cool at night to sleep. We would love to stay again.

We loved the whole experience staying at this home. Wonderful inside and out. Loved the creek in front and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Close to Durango so easy to get supplies and enjoy the downtown area. Would definitely stay here again.

Annual Trip to Durango

This was our third year staying at this place and it was great again. We do have one small complaint. We did not have TV and most of the time we had to switch from the new River House Wi-Fi to the old Wi-Fi to have any internet service.

June Durango Trip

This is our third year to stay at the Bear House, and it never disappoints! The house is warm and comfortable, and the property is beautiful with the trees and the river running in front! We look forward to walking into the house that first evening and are sad to leave on the last day. Nick and Caryn are thoughtful about their guests and extremely easy to get in touch with and quick to respond. A trip to the Bear House is good for the soul!
