Cozy updated house with gorgeous view near Eagles Mere Lake

Enjoy this cozy 3 bedroom house, perfect for a family of 6, complete with books, TV, DVD player with many DVDs to choose, and popular games to enjoy. House sits on 3/4 acre yard with covered porch (complete with porch swing and outdoor eating area), plenty of yard space to play corn hole or other games provided, and enjoy s'mores and roasted corn in the outdoor fire pit. Indoor is clean and bright with a combination of antique and modern, comfortable furniture. All linens provided. Living room includes the perfect game or puzzle table and a stone fireplace (fire wood provided). Full kitchen includes all tableware and utensils, pots and pans, a slow cooker, blender, Keurig coffee pot, and microwave. Location close to many hiking paths, Worlds End State Park, and Loyalsock Trail (maps provided). Private Eagles Mere Lake access and canoe available for additional charge.

  • The best hike if you like waterfalls, to be precise there are 22 of them. To see them all you will have to hike for about 7 miles. Dog friendly. I highly recommend you won't regret it! The hike is not very difficult, with accessional hikes up and down, but it is long considering that you will stop to admire and take pictures at most of the waterfalls. Bring lunch, snack and water if you planning to see all 22 waterfalls.

This was our second day here. Visiting family in the area. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. From the gorgeous location to the lake amenities and the gorgeous antiques all over the house. They really have thought of everything and it is a beautiful older home with lots of history. We enjoyed an outdoor bonfire as well as the gorgeous sunset on the porch swing.We look forward to our visit next summer!

Our family had a wonderful stay in this quiet and comfortable house in Eaglesmere, equipped with all necessities--and many extra touches. From the locker and canoe at the lake to the firepit and s'mores fixings in the pantry, the hosts are thoughtful and attentive--and very easy to work with. A great place to enjoy the charms of Eaglesmere.

If I'm ever back in Eagles Mere I would skip my research and stay here again. It was perfect for our needs. Susan was a great communicator. We heard from her before, during and after our stay. We felt well taken care of :-) I only wish we had had more time so that we could take advantage of the fireplace and lovely porch!

Mere Lake

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming home in PA! The property was clean, well-maintained and had a cozy feel to it. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable weekend getaway. From a fully stocked kitchen to comfortable bedding a cozy living room with a fireplace and a spacious front porch to sit and breath in the fresh air. I would highly recommended this charming home to anybody looking for a relaxing retreat in PA.

EM Retreat

Great house! We loved how the owners maintained the old EM charm but gave the house some tasteful updates. It was clean and the added kitchen and bathroom amenities were helpful for our 5-day retreat. We hope to stay there again!

Another wonderful stay

We had an another wonderful time staying here with our children. We enjoyed the deck and firepit and proximity to the lake, World's End state park, and village. Thanks for the roasting sticks, marshmallows and chocolate! Access to the lake locker was great to borrow chairs. We look forward to returning!

Sullivan County retreat

Susan has thought of everything at this retreat in Eagles Mere. From the thoughtful sundries, to the cozy corners, to the family antiques, the entire space is a gem. I came to attend a milestone birthday in town, and really wish I had booked a week. WiFi was available, but the home is situated to allow for truly disconnecting, slowing down, and taking a moment to relax and breath. And...i saw my first IRL groundhog!! I'm a runner, and there were ample trails to explore, along with the recreational activities of the lake. I cannot say enough glowing things about this property. I hope to have the opportunity to come back.

Cozy house with antique charm

My sister and my two children stayed and had the best time. It’s such a neat spot with great views. We loved the porch and eating outdoors. It was super warm this week and we appreciated the A/C as many old EM homes don’t have any. The low ceilings and original wood plank flooring is gorgeous! And the old photos have so much history. They really thought of everything and we very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return

Quick fall getaway

My friends and I were delighted with the charm of this farmhouse. It is a quick drive or longer walk to the lake but it’s a beautiful area to walk through. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were other great little amenities as well. Susan was extremely responsive and we felt cozy and relaxed the entire stay. We will be back!!
