“We had a wonderful stay in Greenport! The location was absolutely perfect, and one of the things we loved most was being able to walk to town and the beautiful harbor. Everything was so conveniently located, from the charming shops and wonderful restaurants to the lovely waterfront, making it easy to enjoy everything Greenport has to offer without needing to drive. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful Greenport getaway!”

“We enjoyed the location of the property, and the check-in process was easy and well-organized. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and nicely appointed. While the space has a lot of potential, there were a few aspects that could be improved. The sofa and upholstered chair were in need of a deep clean, and the sofa cushions had lost their support, making them uncomfortable to use. We could also hear quite a bit of noise from the neighboring unit, and on one night the tenants were active until...

“It was close to a very pretty beach, which was nice. The neighborhood is very quiet. The only downside was that the bedrooms were up stairs and the stairs were very steep. I didn’t notice that in the write up to the property it might have changed my rental of it. I would rate it very highly for anyone that doesn’t have trouble with stairs. The air conditioning was excellent, and the property is well appointed the owners were lovely and responsive.”

“Historic home in great shape for 1795. The only concern for me was the steep steps to the upstairs with my bad knees. The bedrooms upstairs are spacious and lots of beds. It is a perfect place for a big gathering. Plenty of kitchen equipment, pots/pans/dishes/glassware/serving dishes to entertain. The host, Yvette, was amazing. She responded very quickly with any question. The best I've ever dealt with.”

18. The Bay Cottage · Rocky Neck Park, Beach & Niantic

“This house was the perfect destination for our summer vacation to Niantic and the Connecticut shore. Our family has been camping at nearby Rocky Neck State Park for the past 40 years. The close location of this home was exactly what we needed while vacationing for the first time with our newborn. This was also the very first time we used the VRBO app. This entire process exceeded our expectations. The home was clean, efficient, and we felt very safe having our newborn there for five days. “Was way too many stairs, was unaware of how many, pictures of place very deceiving, the stair railing was wobbly, and then there was work being done on it and no to very little railing, the chemicals that were used to clean the place was very overwhelming to the point of myself being sick the whole time I was there, also very strong air freshener, there was 18 steps to the porch and another 13 to the bedrooms and bathroom, the motion lights would go on an off all by themselves, the volume on the...
