âStayed here to attend the unrivaled WNBA games and everything was lux. We stayed in a huge room overlooking the water and the city. Definitely one of my best stay recently. Also Starbucks was right outside and that was a plus. â

âPerfekt lĂ€ge för att se Dodgers. Kort promenad till arenan. Skulle inte bott hĂ€r annars, dĂ„ omrĂ„det kring downtown LA inte Ă€r det trevligaste. Ăverraskad av hotellets standard Ă€ndĂ„. Gammalt men rent, och vi var glada att fĂ„ frukost (med vĂ„fflor) varje dag. â
âClean room but with a slightly musty smell. We could hear the people sitting downstairs even though they were not terribly loud. Chinatown LA wasnât very nice in comparison with others and mainly seemed like a run-down part of LA. Low score for environmental friendliness due to plastic cutlery etc at breakfast. Breakfast was served in a little side room -not too cozy but serviceable. â
âHad a great stay here. I've been here before and after the renovations and it feels nicer and more energetic after the remodel. Having access to the amenities of the club is great as I got to swim and work out. One thing to note is there's a $40+ a day resort fee so if you aren't inclined to use the club's amenities it may not be worth staying here. I'll be back and love that I can have some time to exercise and use the club while on a work trip.â

"Really nice hotel but canât really see why anyone would like to stay in this part of LA unless your doing business in downtown or have friends to visit there like I had. Downtown LA is not a place to be for tourists if you want to see the best of LA. I felt completely safe though on hotel premises, in my single room I had a safe for my valuables and during day time it is of course safe to walk around on the streets nearby but of course keep out/away from the Skid Row area with all the tents. The homeless people are nice and I never felt threatened but look ahead where you are going on the streets and donât look down into your phone.
Single room with a skyview at almost the top but a 13 floor building wonât give so much skyview at all in downtown LA.
Some reviewers here have praised the shower, I looked into my shower and thought thatâs just a regular shower head but OMG that water pressure was superb!
So I am still recommending this hotel for anyone having a purpose to visit downtown LA (not just random touristing of LA) or a romantic getaway where you want to stay in and old fashioned hotel, enjoy the rooftop bar and going by taxi to a restaurant at the evening when it is dark outside (avoid walking when it is dark!).
The tiles in the bathrooms of my single room was really beautiful and the bed just perfect.
So this hotel canât do much about its surroundings but the historic elevators could get some more love by hotel management.
