Although the facilities were clean, there were three small issues.
First, a Bell like sound every three or four seconds that was more or less constant. The noise was eminating from the hot water heating system.
Second, the mattress was too soft for the spine. This is a distinct problem with pocket coil mattresses that even with just a few years service.
Third, there as maintenance worker operating a loud gas-powered blower for snow removal at a property immediately behind the motel.
Normally, this is a loud but brief disturbance. It just an issue because it occured at 06:00. A quick showelling or sweeping job would have been duely dilligent for such an early period.
