The wooded setting was so relaxing and peaceful. Easy to get to all the top spots in Door County.”

“Property- lovely, clean, ample room for a group. Disappointed with a few aspects of our stay. First night - could not get in. Host tried to remotely fix the issue; ultimately we had to wait outside for 20 min for them to come access a garage to let us in. We learned it had been a problem with the previous guest & that they had gotten in through an open window. We were advised to leave the house unlocked if we went out because they would be with their grandchildren the next day & unavailable....

“The Birch Retreat apartment accommodations were very nice as described. Great large shower, but not a full kitchenette (only sink is in bathroom) but owner added lots of accessories to make it easy to do basic things. The property (and one other adjacent Plum Retreat apartment that I know of) is connected to lovely & gorgeous new Secret Gardens with a new small shop & on-site events developed by the owner; the Birch apartment is a renovated part of the re-development of the former Green Gables...

“Close to town but not as close as was assumed”

“Location is good. Easy bike ride to potawami State Park and downtown sturgeon Bay. It is on highway C which does get a bit of traffic but we didn't notice with the windows closed. The shower is small but functional. The two-car garage is great for storing our e-bikes. We had a very good stay. Price was very good and much nicer staying here than in the hotel.”
