“We’ve been coming to Cedar Point for many years. We wish we would have chosen South Shore Inn much sooner. We had a PERFECT two-night stay with them recently and will now use them as our first choice for lodging in Sandusky. “My issue with the hotel is it stated it could sleep 6, but could only sleep 5 uncomfortably at most. I had to check out immediately and go to the Holiday Inn next door. It felt reasonable to be given some sort of refund but I have received no response to multiple outreaches since the person at the desk was unable to help me since the owner was the only one who could. The room would have been fine for my wife and I, but I had four kids with me.”

In the reviews I read the biggest complaint was the noise level. You could clear as day hear any conversations of other rooms if you were in the hallway. Once inside our rooms it wasn’t as bad but we are pretty easy sleepers and other guests were very respectful.”

“Weird self-check-in arrangement--no reception desk or staff, just an e-mail with a code to let yourself in & out and a phone number in case you need anything--very impersonal, but o.k. if you don't like dealing with people. Fresh, tidy, and trendy inside. Bedside reading lights and a chair to sit on would be nice (stools at the counter are too high for tying shoes), as would a light outside the door that doesn't attract bugs. “I’ve used truckstop bathrooms that were cleaner in the bathroom that we had in our room! That’s not even the worst part, the carpets need to be desperately changed. The entire room smelled of urine. It was difficult for us to even stay in the room. I would’ve left immediately but the entire town of Sandusky had been booked up. I will never say this hotel ever again. I am warning all of those who look for cleanliness, this is not the place.”

“Travelling with family for a one night stay just passing through Sandusky. Pictures did not do it justice. First of all the surroundings seemed a bit shady and felt generally unsafe. Room was worn down. Key machine was malfunctioning so check in took a long while. Internet access took forever which they blamed on the bad weather. People were being noisy late in the evening and no one seemed to care. Reeked of weed. Would not recommend for a family.”
