We spent 270 USD on the room with the view over the river, unfortunately this stay was not worth it. We booked the room with the view over the river, unfortunately we did not see much of the river as it was dark most of the time. So do not bother booking the room with the view over the river if you are not planning to actually be sitting on your balcony between 11 am and 3 p.m. The toilet was not cosy and the toilet seat was cold. The pillows very actually rather bad, very flat and in the morning I was very stiff in the neck. Selection at the breakfast was okay, but it is far from the best hotel breakfast, however we were totally fine with that. Coffee was good and the plates very absolutely beautiful. The hotel restaurant was amazing, the meat I ordered was truly amazing and one of the best steaks I have had! So skip booking the room, just book something cheaper in Reykjavik, come here for the hike, warm river and the steak at the hotel restaurant. "
