Host was open and responsive. The place had welcoming touches. Bring your slippers, so you can remove your shoes as requested (which is a common request in AK locations.)

This site worked great for us on short notice. It was conveniently located near the Fort and the major shopping areas allowing us to take care of our business. Clean, friendly service, and easy access. We would stay again.

Visiting our Airman

We had a splendid opportunity to visit our Airman while in Alaska. Our VRBO was the perfect location as we were close to the everything we needed to do. Monique was a great host and helped us with a list of very nice restaurants and activities to do during our stay.

Bring towels. Do not expect a long hot shower, the water gets cold fast. Otherwise a nice place.

Checked all the boxes

Internet excellent, great TV, new washer and dryer, convenient location, and all needed kitchen ware present. Only work arounds were the hot water availability required showers in shifts; not surprising since there were three of us.

Received email 2 days before arrival that we must remove our shoes in the unit. I don't walk barefoot in my own house, never mind in a rental unit! Entering the unit hallway had a terrible odor. Entering the actual apartment had a very strong air freshener smell. The towels and wash cloths were of poor quality. There was heavy truck and car noise during the night. Repairs were made throughout the apartment, but were done poorly. It appeared very little effort was made to make the place "look nice" for guests. One would expect better from a VRBO rental. The host did have a nice welcome basket with coffee pods and snacks.

Quick Stay In Fairbanks

The building is older but you can tell it is being fixed up. Everything was provided that we needed. Monique was very helpful and accommodating. She even offered places to try to see the Northern Lights. Which we did!
