I am so glad I stayed at Trickett Lane! Elke was an amazing host and answered all of my questions and was flexible when I had some scheduling changes. The cabin itself is lovely! It's in a nice secluded area outside of Fairbanks but not too secluded. It has all the amenities you'd need from soaps and shampoo in the bathroom to pots, pans and utensils in the kitchen. The only thing I had to buy was groceries! I came in the winter so the heater was a must and it worked wonderfully! For those staying in winter, there is an outlet in the driveway for your vehicle's heater. The description mentions the sulfur smell in the hot water and it definitely has that, although the cold water is fine with no smell at all. All bathroom amenities provided: shampoo, conditioner, body soap, lotion, there was even a can of shaving cream! I think there was also a hair dryer but I did not use it.I also highly recommend dog mushing with Elke and her amazing dog team! They are the sweetest dogs and she's so knowledgeable of mushing and explains during the ride, once in a lifetime experience for me! The beds are on the firmer side, but are that memory foam feeling so mold to your body. The downstairs bedroom had an air vent is some sort that brought in air so kept some circulation in the room without making it cold. And under the blankets I was perfectly warm!10/10 recommend staying at Trickett Lane!
