“We really enjoyed our stay in this Civil War era home. Very clean with plenty of towels and soaps. It had a good location in Sharpsburg. We walked to the bakery (twice), the ice cream shop and the library. Easy access to the Antietam Battlefield. Appliances worked as expected. We have stayed in numerous period homes and this home was by far the best equipped for preparing meals in the kitchen. Wi-Fi was very good and strong throughout the home. Great place to stay in Sharpsburg.”

“The host did not respond to messages before we checked in. At check-in the backdoor to the house was unlocked and opened. When we got into the house, there was rotten and expired food in the fridge, stuff all over the counters, dirty dishes in the sink and dishwasher, dirty laundry in the washer and on top, and there was no heat. There were space heaters placed throughout the house, which was a total safety liability. We reached out to the host with our concerns and we never got a response. I...

“My friends and I have been doing weekend trips around DC for seven years now and this stay easily had the most amazing views. The pictures do not do it justice. Great beds, one of our folks enjoyed the pool, and all in all we had an amazing time. Note that the sixth bedroom is in the loft. We also loved the screened in porch and great water pressure and birdwatching. Tony was very responsive, checking in throughout our stay.”
