The dinner in the restaurant was excellent as well, and as a guest at the hotel you get the chance to go on the complimentary Battlement guided tour. âStayed over for a night whilst travelling back from a trip to Scotland. A great B & B which I canât recommend highly enough. From meeting Susan on arrival where she showed off our room. Whilst cosy, everything was pristine! A comfy bed and great breakfast the next morning topped off a great stay.
Not forgetting the pub attachedâŠâŠwhere we had our evening meal and probably the best Beef and Ale pie weâve ever had with great personal service too.
Weâd highly recommend the Rose & Thistle and look...

âReally enjoyed our stay. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Room very nice, bed comfy and a great shower. Enjoyed evening relaxing in the Gazebo overlooking the river passing below. Breakfast is at the Olive Tree cafe in the village and is well worth the walk. The satnav takes you to the center of the village but the lodge is actually on the very edge of the village. Plenty of space to park the car. Thoroughly recommend.â

âFabulous house in a lovely location, it was perfect for long walks . The house is very roomy with fab decor. Close to a lovely restaurant we we popped in gor drinks and food a few times over the weekend. Will definitely return in the sumner months.â
