“A warm welcome after a long drive from Jane/Owner. Accommodation was clean and comfortable, the shower was instantly warm! The owners were lovely, very friendly, attentive and accommodating. My daughter and I were going out very early one morning and thought we would miss breakfast so Sean/owner made us bacon sandwiches and put cartons of juice in the fridge to take with us! “Cozy old hotel with a lot of character. Lots of shops nearby. Nice little town. Newly renovated rooms. Restaurant and pub downstairs that serves good food for resonable prices. Downstars there's a lot of the old feeling and character of the building still there, in a good way.”

“No heating in the room, it was 6 degrees in there all night. They gave me a new room in the morning, but when I arrived after work it was just 12 degrees in that room. It´s also very worn down with stains everywhere on walls and floors, and it smells of mold.”

“We came to visit family who live nearby in the village, so it was very convenient to stay at the Red Lion. The apartment was great, the super-king-sized bed was very comfortable with lovely cotton sheets, and there was a great shower. Staff were very friendly and the apartment block is a short walk from the pub, so it is private and quiet. Would definitely stay again . ”

“Very convenient place. Many restaurants around. We stayed 3 nights in 2 triple rooms with our teenage children. As the reception was open around the clock, it helped us a lot with late night check in. Kudos to the person on night duty at the reception on all days! He was very service minded. However, cleanliness of the shower room/ bathroom etc were not up to our expectations and they were either rusty or not cleaned/maintained properly!!
