“The pictures on expedia are not of the actual property. The hotel has no outdoor pool area or water recreation as depictes in the actual 3rd photo of the peoperty. The bed sheets were worn out fread and dirty. A long piece of hair with a chuck of scalp was found in the sheets. And actual fecal stains were on the wall in the bathroom. The front desk was unwilling to help with any relocation of my family since it was booked thru expedia, the only feesback i recieved was to contact expedia. They...

“We loved how the hotel was right on the beach! Very modern room that was clean and comfortable! We stayed in the king size bed room on the 2nd floor. There isn’t an elevator, but the stairs are wide and easy to climb. There is a nice balcony with chairs and high table to put a drink on and relax!There also a small refrigerator great for keeping our drinks cold! You have access to the beach. For a nice walk in the sand barefoot while watching the sunrise! We needed a recommendation for dinner...

“We love staying at the Avenue! Breakfast is always warm and tasty and they go above and beyond to make guests comfortable. Love hanging out in the beautiful lobby for wine and cheese or just to take a break from the heat. We will be back again soon!”

“This hotel is spacious and clean, offering a hot buffet breakfast for free and an indoor, heated salt pool. The parking is ample and you can walk to the pizza shop or sandwich deli. Because it is on the east side of route 1, you can access Lewes, the ferry, or Cape Henlopen state park without getting into traffic on route 1. Midweek prices are very fair, especially off-season. The staff is friendly and welcoming.”

“The hot tub and pool were closed but advertised as opened. If I knew it was closed I wouldn’t have paid to stay here. Call before you go if you are interested in the amenities. The breakfast is not really good also.”
