“Be prepared: the riad is in the middle of the Medina with LOTS of winding roads and dead ends. Even with a map you will likely get lost. It also means taxis cannot get to the riad. High pressure to buy dinner as soon as I arrived that turned me off and then again for a tour even though I said I had one booked. No front door key provided so had to knock/ring to get in. “The absolute worst hotel I’ve ever booked. Took nearly an hour to check in because they were accidentally overbooked. They said there were no rooms I had booked available and instead gave me a temporary bigger room… but the smell in there was awful. I thought it was gasoline at first and got a massive headeache after just minutes in the room. Turns out the walls were freshly painted which I discovered after moving my bags which were now covered in wet paint. As they had no other rooms available...

“Absolute delight staying here. We truly loved the beautiful riad—it was charming, peaceful, and impeccably maintained. Anwar and Chantal (the owner) were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to help us when we were in a bit of a jam, which meant so much to us!! “Genuinely the best place we stayed our whole trip. If your looking for a budget friendly place to stay this should be it. The property is so pretty and the rooms are very nice. It is located in a great spot to walk around the whole medina. The host was one of the kindest people we met in morocco and was super helpful with navigation and storing our luggage. “This is a lovely basic Riad, Omar is a lovely host and was always available to assist. The food was good, bed comfortable and the Riad is centrally located in the Medina. We hired a private guide Mumu through Omar and spent 4 hours learning so much about the Medina. This was one of our favorite Riads in Morocco.”
