âThe Roost is beautiful! Right when you walk in, youâll be in awe. The location is great, everything in walking distance. We parked in a parking lot just beside the hotel for $80 and that was overnight parking for 2 nights.
The staff was friendly and check in was easy. Our room was nice, clean and bright. Only complaint was that due to Saturday night being in full swing, it was very noisy and we heard it all from our room. There was a white noise machine in our room so they definitely are aware...

âThis is the only hotel we will stay at when we visit Detroit. Exceeded our expectations. Our suite was very spacious and comfortable. The staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful whether we're just walking in the door or need assistance. Walking distance from all event centers and greektown. â
âExperienced three different reception staff between check-in and check-out and ALL 3 were the friendliest we've ever dealt with! Slightly disappointed the TV does not swivel and the rainfall shower head is kind of annoying but not the end of the world.â
âThe location was great. Close to coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. The tiger and lion stadiums were close as well.
The directions to get the keys were detailed and easy to follow. The alley seems sketchy but you only do it once so itâs not that big of a deal; just read the instructions well and youâll get it.

âFabulous, fabulous place to stay! Beautiful interior and immaculately clean. I stayed two days and would definitely stay again in the future. The communications from Kasa were clear and comprehensive. Nice little touches like ear plugs, bottled water and cookies. Right in the heart of downtown Detroit, but I still found it quiet and safe. By far, the best place I stayed on my tour through Michigan.â

"Love the Shinola design and was very excited to stay here - but will not return. Dont get me wrong, the design of the room was great and the check in was friendly and a glass of bubbly was received. The films telling about brand, materials, design etc was great to watch. Comfortable bed. But the cleaning between the days was so poor and had dust in the corners and mold in the "zink hole". Don't even think the pillows were fluffed between the days. The beautiful Shinola alarm clock showed wrong time (1 hour) and be prepared to wait very long if you having breakfast in house. It did not live up to expectations and there are plenty of other hotels out there I rather try next time. But location is great, value for money less."
