“We had a very nice 3-day stay in one of the cottages. It was very quite, and the beds were very comfortable with an electrical blanket. The cottage was quite well equipped and there was heating. We had a great trip to Doubtful Sound, which the lady at the reception helped us to book. Unfortunately, the weather was quite wet, and the cottage was a bit damp. We asked for an extra change of towels as they did not dry well in the cottage. We went to Te Anau for dinner as the local pub mostly seems...

“Breakfast was among the best we’ve ever had. The staff paid attention to every detail. Eco friendly touches did not detract from comfort and convenience. Glenorchy was peaceful and quiet and a perfect antidote to ski days in Queenstown. One of my favorite spots was the covered outdoor fireplace savoring a hot chocolate or a whiskey on a freezing night. I live a long way from New Zealand, but hope to return at some point.”
