Apartments Florence - Granduca Penthouse with stunning terrace

Granduca penthouse is a completely renovated (March 2023) luxury 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms apartment located in the heart of Florence. Very close to all the main tourist places, the apartment is located on the 3rd and top floor with lift of a beautiful Florentine building from the end of the 1800s with pleasant views over Piazza Indipendenza. This apartment is a combination of two properties: one with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the other with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. They are separated by a door in the middle, which when opened connects the two apartments creating a single unit. The entire property has recently been renovated in a contemporary style, with care and attention to the smallest details to ensure maximum comfort. The atmosphere is relaxing thanks to the carefully chosen color scheme and furnishings that matches the overall style of the property. The entire apartment is very bright and spacious, with parquet floors and air conditioning in every room.

Great family apartment

We wanted to spend three days in a more intimate setting with our large family. This in/town apartment was the perfect option, with plenty of room for all of us and a fantastic view of the city from the rooftop terrace. Easy walking distance to most attractions.

Great place

Very high end finishes. Good beds, showers, kitchen. Very good location, easy to walk to (10 min) from train station. Easy to access main sites—Florence is such a walkable city. We had a great stay.

A wonderful stay in Florence

Centrally located and about an 8 minute walk from the train station. It was a beautiful apartment and as we walked through after arrival it just kept getting better. The rooftop terrace was lovely. It felt safe as we walked everywhere and there were plenty of grocery stores and restaurants nearby. The only issue we had was there were only 2 sets of keys and 8 adults not always going in the same direction. But planning well solved that issue.

Amazing view

The apartments were wonderful. The view was amazing. The neighborhood was just ok. Grateful that it was just a short walk to sights. My family of 8 (ages 9-58) had a wonderful stay.

Great space for families

Our family group of 10 enjoyed our stay in this apartment. A lot of bedroom space, plenty of bathrooms, nice common areas. Beds were comfortable. It was a little hard to cook for 10 people, but we managed when we had to. The larger kitchen doesn't have a microwave, but there is one in the smaller kitchen. The location is nice, close to the Mercado Centrale and an easy walk to the Duomo and other main sites.

Luxurious apartment

Our recent stay in Florence was made even better by choosing this amazing property for our party of 10. It was a fairly close walk from the train station with great restaurants on the same street. Check in was easy and the staff member recommendations were appreciated. Don’t miss Trattoria Zsa Zsa! There is a grocery store very close as well as Central Market. The Duomo, Arno River and other sites are just a 10-12 minute walk. The apartments were beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable and quiet. With our big group it was wonderful to be able to spread out and have ample space to relax after a day of sightseeing. The rooftop deck and view was incredible. Choosing to stay here will enhance your overall stay in Florence! We would choose this VRBO again without hesitation. Additionally, we left some items and the staff was very accommodating to help us pick up our belongings. 5stars!

Trapped on rooftop terrace

Beautifully remodeled apartment with nice amenities but would never stay here again. Biggest issue is because we got trapped on the roof at midnight going into Easter because the elevator broke and that’s the only way to get on and off the rooftop terrace. We thankfully had our phones to call the property manager but it took until 1:40 am until we were rescued by elevator maintenance. They then closed it down for repairs and never reopened or came to fix it while we were there. Even worse was that Apartments Florence never contacted us to see how we were, apologize, offer something in return, etc…. We only booked it because of the rooftop and only got to “use” it the one time. So incredibly disappointed in how the situation was handled. In addition to the elevator to the rooftop breaking, they would not let us put the air conditioning on. We could only leave the heat on or turn it off. It was 70 and muggy and we were so uncomfortable. Again, had to make sure each place we stayed had A/C and we felt duped. Since there is no dryer in the apartment, our wet clothes wouldn’t dry because of how muggy it was in the apartment. Other things to be aware of: tiniest trash cans in the kitchens, made for bathrooms, not kitchens. No glass on one of the showers so water goes everywhere. No TV in the main/bigger living room. Shame that we had issues because it could have been a very nice stay.

5 Star Modern Florence Apartment

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful 5 bedroom apartment. It was clean and modern with new furnishing. Super convenient location- walking distance to the train station and all the city center landmarks. Very easy check-in process and great communication from our hosts about places to go and out of the city itineraries. Very courteous, prompt, professional and responsive. This is a perfect place for an extended family or group of couples. I would stay here on my next trip to Florence.
