Excellent location and very comfortable room. The hotel has no reception and is relatively no-frills, but it was perfect for out three nights in Florence.

We really enjoyed our stay. The check in process was smooth and accurate. We received complimentary water upon our arrival which was nice after a day of travel. Our room was clean and tidy. The location was perfect distance from shops and restaurants. Everything was walkable. Absolutely recommend this place.

Really convenient location, the bed was decently comfortable. We're very sensitive to laundry detergent and the laundered sheets and towels did not use a non hypoallergenic detergent.

The air conditioning was fantastic! Kept the room cool on those hot July nights. Plenty of food and shopping right out side of the front door. Parking was available from a third party service for $40/day. This parking garage had very limited spaces available and you had to drive into the ZTL to get to it. The accommodation were on the 4 story and took a minute to find. There is a lift, but European lifts scare me and we never used it.

Beautiful place!! Initially I thought I had booked a hotel and turns out it's a private room with bathroom, an exquisite suite! Gorgeous, spacious, beautiful and in the perfect location! Great check in and helpful advice! Bear Santa Croce market and leather school, the Golden bridge and other locations.

Great location but dated room

Location was great. Bed was decent. Floor was a little dirty and chairs were stained. Antique mirror in bathroom was useless. There was no hand soap in the room, so to wash your hands, you had to use shower gel or shampoo.

La struttura è in una posizione molto buona, tra piazza della Signoria e Santa Croce. Ma l’immobile è poco curato e la pulizia scadente. Nonostante il costo parecchio rilevante non viene cambiata la biancheria, i prodotti da bagno sono messi in quantità limitatissima e non sono reintegrati (abbiamo dovuto comprare noi il bagnoschiuma…). Inesistente il management, abbiamo visto un gestore solo all’arrivo, scortese e sgarbato il personale delle pulizie. Rapporto qualità prezzo bassissimo. Da sconsigliare, certamente non torneremo.

Location was great. This is not the entire apartment as stated on the booking. When we arrived I questioned and it was explained this is a B&B. But there is no breakfast or any provisions like a b&b. The rental is just a room with bathroom which was ok. The kitchen is shared down the hall and the fridge was off and had old spoiled items in it. There was an espresso machine with all the compliments. But the kitchen was not the cleanest The place was safe and convenient and so we opted to not change our stay as we only slept there. We chose this property for its proximity to P. Mentana. We’re in our 70’s. The good: working elevator, good locks on doors, access to restaurants. Could be better, not all on the owner: 1. The sink trap leaked a bit on the floor, the owner got a plumber right away. 2. The Expedia property website stated that it had laundry, but the owner said that the washer/dryer were in the other building and accessible for a payment of 10 euro. We had assumed it was free to use, in our building. 3. The Expedia website also mentioned kitchen facilities, which we found was a shared kitchen with 3 other rooms. We just used the coffee maker. 4. We took a taxi from SMN to the property, cost about 13euro. When trying to return to SMN, we called Taxi4242 but couldn’t get through, downloaded their app, couldn’t make it work, walked to P. Santa Croce but no taxi would stop, so we walked all the way to SMN with 4 bags. 5. The power went out about 1:30am, we worried we’d have to walk down 4 flights (it came back on in 30 min). Next time we’d probably stay in a property with a 24/7 front desk. 6. The Expedia website states that the city room tax is 4.50euro per person per day, but learned that the city recently increased it to 7 euro per person per day. 7. Prior to arriving the owner stated that she was available until 6pm to check us in, and we’d have to pay additional euros if we were late. This is on the Expedia website, perhaps put it in the main property section.

Arrived att 11 pm and the hotell was closed for the night! No answer, no service! Had to find somewhere to sleep at midnight with heavy luggage! Do not book this hotel if you arrive at evening in virenze/florence.

Our stay at Residenza D'Epoca Corte Dei Neri was absolutely wonderful! The location in Florence could not be more perfect, putting us right in the heart of the city and within walking distance of all the major sights. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their warm, friendly hospitality really stood out. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We highly recommend this beautiful property to anyone visiting Florence and would definitely stay here again!

What I liked: Within walking distance to almost all of the important tourist sites in Florence: Duomo, Uffizi, Palazzo Michaelangelo, the statue of David, on and on. Lots of restaurants and near both a Carrefour grocery as well as a Conad. Nicely furnished with a very pleasant personal greeting with the presentation of the keys. I was a little confused at first because it was not made clear that Florence requires a property representative to present the keys, and lock boxes are not allowed. Evidently, it's the same in Rome. What I didn't like: The apartment shares a floor with four (?) other apartments and does not have its own kitchen. There's a communal kitchen which was a trade off I was willing to make given the excellent location. However, the kitchen is not in the best of condition. Some of the cooktop's electric burners didn't work, but I managed with the ones that did. We were told the microwave didn't work, but I plugged it in and it worked fine. The lock to the big front door to the street sticks. It takes some gentle trial and error to get the door unlocked. I find that irritating. What I really didn't like: The refrigerator provided in the room is awful. Too small. I wouldn't take to a college dorm.
