“We were looking for a place to stay within walking distance of downtown Mount Airy and this place fit the bill perfectly. The unit had plenty of space, was very clean and had the amenities we needed, like a washer and dryer, plenty of towels, etc. It was a bonus to be able to sit on the deck while drinking a glass of wine and listening to the music from the nearby amphitheater.”

“I came up for a "Dad's Weekend" with my VT kid. I first checked hotels and because it was the VT spring game and parents weekend, prices were outrageously high. I checked VRBO and this property came up. It was much more reasonably priced, had more space than I needed, and parking was convenient. The neighborhood isn't anything fancy, but I didn't go there to walk around Christiansburg, plus the 15min drive to VT is easy. All-in-all, much better than a hotel room. Would definitely stay there...

“Such a cute place with thoughtful accessories. The lake and the trails are wonderful, lots of places to sit and take in the view. Floyd was also surprisingly fun! We stumbled into an open mic night with amazing pizza. I’d highly recommend this place! Only watch out is ceilings are a little low. Anyone over six feet would be ducking, but the space is so pretty you don’t spend much time indoors!”

“The was my first time staying at a VRBO and this one was more than I expected. There was a bottle of wine, snacks & fully stocked kitchen. There were plenty of pillows and blankets for everyone to have. The place was clean, and the area was very quiet. We were close to restaurants and shops. Wish we had more time to explore the town of Floyd. We definitely would stay there again!”

“We stayed here for VT graduation and could not have picked a better place. The lodge is wonderful- clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The view outside is gorgeous and there is so much to do. Our kids loved playing frisbee and feeding the goats and donkeys. Our grad loved the Hokie decor, and the grandparents loved the beauty, peace, and quiet. We are already makign plans to come back.”

“We had a lovely stay in “Mayberry”. The apartment was exceptionally clean, and we are particular. The beds were clean, plush, and comfortable. Linens were all fresh. Very thoughtfully supplied. Downtown is just right around the corner. We will definitely stay again.”

Weird breakfast and dingy room
"Breakfast was weird. Everything wrapped in plastics. The flatware also plastic. The plates one time use cardboard. The “scrambled eggs” made from powder, some sort of strange meet patty in the container next to it. The only fruit or vegetable a banana. Imagine the daily load of trash from this practice. Our room smelled strongly of chlorine (yuck) but an undeniable smell of unclean still came from the carpet. The bathroom was dirty in the corners and the toilet roll hold roller had seen better days. Would recommend the hotel to switch to refillable dispensers for soap, shampoo and conditioner instead of the little plastic bottle and bar soap that was provided. The top of the bed had a strange polyester sheet but the sheet next to the skin thankfully a cotton blend. Bed comfort was okay. All in all it was survivable but strange. I would recommend trying a different place. "
