“I can't say enough about our stay. They literally though of everything possible that one could need plus some. As soon as you walk in, it just feels like home. Kathie left fresh Pumpkin muffins on the table for us upon arrival. The property in itself is breathtaking. We spent hours on the porch off of the living room. “Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home. The house was cozy and inviting. The owner was very pleasant and helpful as we got turned around a couple times getting to the house but once we got our bearings together and with assistance from Nancy we found it. Amazing views of the mountain throughout our stay, not a far drive to town, downtown Mt. Airy is Mayberry! I can go on and on. Really enjoyed our time there.”

“It was amazing. If you are looking for a place with scenic views look no further! Absolutely stunning to walk around the deck and enjoy the blue ridge mountains. However, I would HIGHLY recommend a 4WD. Don’t make the mistake we made and think “oh well, I am a good driver it shouldn’t be an issue”… chances of someone getting up the last few hundred feet with a fully loaded front wheel drive are very slim!! Weird breakfast and dingy room
"Breakfast was weird. Everything wrapped in plastics. The flatware also plastic. The plates one time use cardboard. The “scrambled eggs” made from powder, some sort of strange meet patty in the container next to it. The only fruit or vegetable a banana. Imagine the daily load of trash from this practice. Our room smelled strongly of chlorine (yuck) but an undeniable smell of unclean still came from the carpet. The bathroom was dirty in the corners and the toilet roll hold roller had seen better days. Would recommend the hotel to switch to refillable dispensers for soap, shampoo and conditioner instead of the little plastic bottle and bar soap that was provided. The top of the bed had a strange polyester sheet but the sheet next to the skin thankfully a cotton blend. Bed comfort was okay. All in all it was survivable but strange. I would recommend trying a different place. "
