What a cute room - so sad we only stayed a week :) Each of the six rooms in this charming little B&B is unique and full of character. Iris and her team are wonderful hosts, and can set you up with local tours and activities. The breakfasts are great, and the dinners are even better - think local ingredients and traditional recipes. It's located a few miles outside town in the beautiful Roseau Valley, so you'll need transport of some kind - but that's true pretty much anywhere you stay on Dominica. Your best bet is to hire a car and driver for day trips to the nearby waterfalls, sulfur springs, and hiking trails.

The covered patio outside our room. Such an adorable B&B, we would definitely stay here again. We could hear the river just down the hill, but the forest was so dense we couldn't see it.
Each room at this wonderful little B&B is unique and charming - this one had a fantastic front deck complete with hammocks. No better way to chill out after a day exploring the island.

Just a few minutes walk from the trailhead you'll find this awesome tree that has created a set of natural steps along the trail. Easy to twist an ankle though, so be careful - it's still another hour's hike to Middleham Falls. #treetrove

Laudat

The sulfur pools at Screw's blend in with the surrounding rain forest. The hottest pools at the top are fed by by cool waterfalls, so you can keep a cool head while soothing the muscles below. Great way to wind. Tip: The owner loves his reggae music, so don't expect the tranquil sounds of falling water and chirping birds. It's all fun though, and adds to the Caribbean flavor.
