Lovely two story historic 130-year-old home located in downtown Frankfort. The lower level has two large bedrooms with queen beds, one bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and a living room with cable TV and a full-sized sleeper sofa. Upstairs is a one bedroom apartment with a queen bed, full bath, kitchen, and living room. Close to bike trail, downtown, parks, and the beach. Close to enough for the action yet far enough away to allow for peace and quiet.

The host was very welcoming and accommodating to me, including letting me come in early for a work Zoom. The home is lovely with large windows and a lot of light. The kitchen is well-equipped (I was able to host family for meals for my son’s birthday).

Janet was awesome! There was enough supplies...toilet paper, soap, shampoo, paper towels, zip lock bags, aluminum foil, saran wrap, etc for the two weeks that we were there. Loved the house and the location is awesome!

Beautiful house in an excellent location within walking distance to shopping, dining, Betsie Lake, & Lake Michigan. We didn’t need to use our car because everything was close by! We loved staying in this home and our host Janet was very responsive and so kind.We hope to come back!

Janet's place was perfect for our 3-night family vacation for 7 of us. I can't say enough great things about our host Janet & the many comforts & amenities she included. She really thought of it all! It was impeccably clean, spacious with beautiful gardens, a large porch & a patio. It's on a very quiet street 1 block from the park, marina, riverwalk, shops & restaurants. The upstairs suite with a bedroom, private full bath & kitchen were perfect for our daughter, her husband & their 3 year old daughter. On the 1st floor, my son & his wife had a private bedroom as did my wife & I, and we shared a a sparkling clean bathroom. The beds and linens were very luxurious. Both the kitchens (upstairs & on the main floor) were amazingly stocked with excellent cookware, dishes, utensils, spices & everything we needed since we cooked most of our own meals. The beach is a leisurely 8-10 minute walk. We loved Janet & her husband's hospitality. They even had an outlet in the garage that they let us use to inflate our floaties with our electric pump. Hanging out on the spacious front porch with Janet's beautiful surrounding gardens was our favorite place to relax. Our favorites in the area were The Cabbage Shed, the Crystal Lake Alpaca Farm, the Empire Bluff Traill & the Treat Farm Trail, the small Frankfort park & playground just steps away, Frankfort Beach, & the Point Betsie Lighthouse & Beach. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return.

Excellent location. Very clean and spacious home. Highly recommend. Our grandchildren loved the park and playground nearby. Just a short walk to Frankfort beach which is our favorite beach in the area. Spacious, beautiful beach for swimming, volleyball, making sandcastles. Gorgeous sunsets at beach. Walking distance to many restaurants, ice cream shop, T-shirt shops. Host was a pleasure to work with.

Wonderful!

This was our second stay in this lovely home, and we're looking forward to a third. It's comfortable and is stocked with everything you might need. The location is great, being close to shops and restaurants, the Betsie Valley Trail, and the beach. The hosts are pretty great, too!

Property is amazing! Very cute and comfy, and the host provides some basics that make arriving and settling in easy and less stressful. Very close to downtown shopping and the beaches, literally a block away from shopping and a few from the beach. Highly recommend and will be returning next year and hopefully for many years after.

Great location! We loved being able to walk to the restaurants and shops. There was a playground very close by that our kids loved. The front porch was a great place to spend time while at the house. This was the perfect place for our family of four to stay! Highly suggest renting a boat on nearby Crystal Lake for fishing.

Frankfort getaway

The property was perfect for us. We loved the quaintness of the house. It has an upstairs apartment so traveling with our adult daughter worked great so she had her own space as well. The host was very friendly and we enjoyed talking with her about the area. It is a perfect location for the downtown. We really enjoyed our stay, certainly hope to visit again.

Great location

The house was located in a quiet very walkable part of town. It was 5 blocks to downtown Frankfort. Frankfort had great restaurants and shops. It was a nice easy walk to Lake Michigan. The Frankfort beach was beautiful. Host was great. I would love to stay there again.

Ironman worthy!

Amazing place to stay. Super close to the downtown area. Came into town for my first 1/2 ironman. My son and I were running late and our eta was 10:30 pm. The amazing hosts turn on some lights for us before we got there. The house had everything we needed and was super close to the transition area for my race. Hoping that Ironman 70.3 comes back to Frankfort so I have an excuse to come back north but if not the people and sunsets by the light house are just a few reasons to come back for another visit.

Great location and wonderful hosts!

My family travels to Frankfort every summer but as the kids have gotten older, we have outgrown sharing hotel beds. But we also want to be close to town. This house is in a terrific location; a tree-lined neighborhood walkable to all of the Frankfort shops and restaurants, the library and parks, Frankfort beach and more. Frankfort itself is an ideal home base for up North day trips to places like Elberta beach, Point Betsie, Platte River, Crystal Lake, the Cherry Hut, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc. With a beautiful front porch and amazing next-door hosts, this is a perfect choice and we can't wait to return!

Wonderful Stay!

We loved this home! We spent a few days with our adult children, and this house was absolutely perfect for us. The kids stayed in the two rooms on the first floor, while we took the little apartment upstairs. We appreciated a little bit of separation in the mornings since the kids slept later than us, and we didn't have to worry about waking them. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for walking to the beach and to the stores and restaurants, and for accessing the Betsie Valley Trail. The hosts were very kind and quick to respond to questions.

Great stay!

We really loved Frankfort and this house is all about location! You can walk to a beautiful beach on Lake Michigan and walk right into downtown for restaurants, shops, ice cream, and more. Really great little park for small children steps away. The house was clean and cozy and as described. We wanted to visit the dunes and this got us really close by. Thank you hosts!

Cozy stay in a great location!

The best part about the house is its proximity to downtown and the beach. The check-in process was smooth and Janet was easy to get in touch with and so friendly. The house is cozy with a lovely porch for spending mornings/evenings on. As the second floor has its own living area, bathroom, and kitchen, it provides privacy from the first floor. Great stay! Highly recommend!!

Amazing Home Close to Evwrything

This house is a beautiful home, extremely clean, and close to everything. We really enjoyed our time here. We sat on the front porch with coffee, we made a great homemade meal. This home has it all! Very spacious!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home in Frankfort. Perfectly located within walking distance of Main Street businesses, Lake Michigan beach front and the harbor for our fishing experience. Clean home with a relaxing porch swing and all the necessary amenities. Definitely a vacation worth repeating!!

Great Location

Just a block from downtown this rental has many advantages for those who like to simply walk for shopping and food. It is also close to biking/hiking trails. The house was very comfy and easy to settle into with a large living room with adjoining dining room. Kitchen is medium size and has everything you would probably want. We stayed in one of the two bedrooms which are not large, but I would think adequate size for most couples. Barroom is small, but hey, have you ever been to Europe? It works and no complaints other than the size. Overall a very “good feeling” comfortable rental. Janet has done an excellent job decorating all the spaces and everything is exceptionally clean. Oh, and I thought our bed was very comfortable. Not too firm and not too soft.
