“We had wonderful time. It was a gorgeous place to stay. Loved how it was in a wooded area away from others. The house was well kept and clean. The only inconvenience was the host would show up without any notice. Coming to check to see if we needed the trash taken or needed anything else is nice and fine but would have liked a notice that they were coming by.”

“We vacationed in Buckhannan so we could attend the barbecue contest. We had a wonderful time. We even accidentally locked ourselves out and the host responded and got us access within a half hour. The accomodations were updated and tastefully decorated. The hottub was an absolute blessing after hiking. I would stay here again. I would definitely rate them as an A.”

“Great historic house. Lots of documentation and some awesome little perks, too. Just be aware that in a 200 year old house, some things are different…but that doesn’t mean bad. Great experience for those who enjoy history.”

“We have gone to the area every year for Thanksgiving week for 4 years now. We have family in the area and my husband hunts. What a great and convenient place for us as it is close to family. House was better than expected. It was very clean and check in was very easy. Brenda was very accommodating as we drove from Florida overnight. I would highly recommend a stay here and would definitely book again in the future.”

“Excellent weekend getaway, so peaceful and relaxing. The layout is perfect and we had everything we needed to cook our meals. It snowed and was cold outside so we didn't venture out but I can imagine that the view would be spectacular in the summer months. ”
