Our stay was wonderful. We loved the grounds, the goats and alpacas and the beauty of the area. The owners were perfect hosts and the property is beautiful and well maintained. We would definitely comeback for another stay!

Amazingly built property! The hosts are wonderful and make you feel at home. They take care of your each dietary needs. There are a variety of options available in the house. I couldn’t be more impressed. Claudia and her family are super warm. I wish I could have stayed here more.

Absolutely loved the quiet neighborhood and the beautifully landscaped property. We loved all the quiet sitting areas in the arbor, near the pond and the alpacas and goats. The only thing we missed was a chair in our room. Was very difficult to put on and take off our hiking shoes sitting on the bed.

We love our stay at The Trumpeter!! Claudia and her family were amaimg hosts. They were kind, friendly, and willing to give recommendations. The room was so nice and the shared spaces offered room to relax, play games or watch movies. We loved that it was outside of town. The property offered great outside sitting to enjoy the sunrise/sunset and it was fun to feed the alpacas and goats. I highly recommend!!!

We want to return and stay longer.
We had no idea what to expect… and we were so pleasantly surprised! We loved our cozy room with a bathroom. Our bed was so comfortable and when I woke up the view of the farm was lovely. Thank you Claudia for your hospitality!

This was an adorable bed & breakfast run by the kindest family! They make a homemade breakfast in the morning, treats and cookies throughout the day, and are so attentive to guests and their needs! Super easy to get to from downtown/the ferry, gorgeous property, and clean great amenities in the room! Would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay at Trumpeter Inn. The room (called "Sage") was impeccably clean and wonderfully decorated with a modern, comfy cottage feel. I loved that if felt "new" throughout the inn. The large, corner windows overlooking the grounds made the room airy and bright. The shared kitchen was very large and spacious with the sweetest corner table (there was also a lovely dining area in the main room). Little surprises were fresh cookies daily as well as crackers and feed for the goats and alpacas. We also made use of the tea-related items after hours - loved that. I can't say enough about Claudia and Tyrone who were the perfect hosts. If your concern is privacy, Claudia and Tyrone know the perfect balance between friendliness and allowing their guests space - something we weren't sure about as 1st time bed-and-breakfast goers. We were so glad to get to know them and they are definitely one of the reasons we will be returning. It felt safe, parking was easy, the grounds were beautiful, spacious and well maintained. It was so wonderfully quiet and peaceful. One wish - but certainly not a deal breaker whatsoever - is for an electric car charger. It may be a big wish, but all but 2 chargers (at the airport) were for overnight guests only on the island. For all the electric cars this amounts to having no access to a charger. Not a concern for hotels and inns I realize, but still - my wish as we had to plan our travel around the island accordingly.

The Trumpeter Inn was the most peacful beautiful place to stay! The property was amazing and includes goats and alpacas, a pond, and a garden with many places to sit and relax. The breakfast each morning was amazing and meeting new friends around the breakfast table was so much fun! We also enjoyed a few board games which were available to play.

We are fortunate to be able to go mid week off season to be able to avoid crowds and traffic that the San Juans are known for in the summer months. We were the only guest so we had the place to ourselves. Claudia was accommodating and made us a early breakfast so we could have more time to explore the Island :)

We came for relaxation and got so much more
We arrived after the check-in window, but a greetings letter was taped to the door for us and our room key was waiting which was really perfect. We then went down to the store which has anything anyone could need, and the next morning we met everyone else staying in the house and talked over breakfast. That's when we met our hostess, and between mingling with the guests and our host, somehow it felt like we were having a weekend with good friends and family. We absolutely loved our island adventure, and enjoyed seeing as much as we could while being off the mainland. But it was the kind nature of the locals and our host in particular, that made it very difficult to leave. I've been back home less than 24 hours and all I can think about is when I can go to Friday Harbor and stay at the Trumpeter again. They even have cute goats and llamas you can spend time with! Claudia (host) you are an absolute champion

We had an excellent time at The Trumpeter Inn. Claudia was so very personable & her breakfasts are exquisite! Highly recommend staying if in the Friday Harbor area. Very convient to town. Quiet & peaceful area with ample property to stretch your legs. Also great with the goats & alpaca in the area next to the house.

Beautiful property, delicious cooked breakfast and also breakfast to go (early ferry departure). The Yarrow Room was perfect with nice bedding and updated bathroom and a view of the meadow/property which included the goats and alpachas. The hosts (especially Claudia) are friendly, welcoming and ready to talk about the island as well as the logistics of transportation. It was like staying with a friend!

Wonderful place to stay. Mom daughter get away
My daughter and I visited Friday Harbour for the first time. Beautiful relaxing Island. What made it even more special was our stay at the Trumpeter inn. The room was very clean and so comfortable. Claudia the hostess was wonderful and makes the most amazing breakfast. Cannot wait to come back.

We had a very good time here. Loved the breakfasts and that gluten-free was a possibility. We were able to bike from the inn to the beach and Friday Harbor. It was a fun and relaxing trip.

Claudia and Tyrone were amazing hosts. Their B&B is a delightful experience that is just slightly out of town, but we got their easily on bikes but there is also ample parking if you have a car. The location is beautiful and surrounded by lush farms and you can even feed the goats and alpacas on their property in the morning if you'd like. The breakfast is delicious, beds comfortable and it is relaxing and cozy. Definitely would recommend and return here!

Great location 5 min drive from town. Got to pet the goats! Owners were super nice and made amazing breakfast and baked goods. Rooms were cool and comfortable. Nice shower, comfy bed.
