This oceanfront sanctuary seamlessly merges casual style, utmost comfort, and unparalleled convenience, boasting 7 spacious bedrooms, 4.5 luxurious bathrooms, a game room, a loft area complete with a poker table, and an open floor plan, providing ample space for family and friends to bask in the beauty of Island life.

Ground Level: As you step inside, you will be welcomed by one-of-a-kind artwork. The game room, with a pool table and a smart TV equipped with a DVD player, will keep everyone entertained for hours. The custom-built bar, complete with a wine cooler sets the perfect backdrop for socializing with friends. Outside, you will find ample parking space, a basketball hoop, a fish cleaning table with a sink and water faucet, dual outside showers, and a private boardwalk leading over the dunes, directly to one of Hatteras Island's most pristine beaches.

First Level: The first level houses 4 generously sized bedrooms. The King master suite comes equipped with a beautifully tiled walk-in shower, dual vanity, sitting areas with a daybed, and deck access offering breathtaking ocean views. The Queen master suite boasts a luxurious private jacuzzi tub, dual vanity, sitting area overlooking the Pamlico Sound, and access to the deck. The remaining two bedrooms have cozy Twin bunk beds and complete this floor. With convenient deck access, this is the perfect spot to unwind with a good book, appreciate the stunning views, bask in the ocean breeze, or relax in the 6-person hot tub.

Second Level: As you ascend the stairs to the second level, you will be met with a sun-drenched great room, creating a calming and serene ambiance. The custom woodwork serves as a splendid addition and the open floor plan allows for ample room for socializing. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the necessary amenities for creating memorable moments. A breakfast bar and a dining table that comfortably accommodates 8 individuals provide unbeatable views of the beach and ocean. Rounding out this level is a King bedroom with a semi-private bath adorned with intricate tile artwork. Spend your days basking in the warm sun while sipping on a cold beverage on the lavish sundeck and relishing the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean.

Top Level: As the time to retire draws near, take the handcrafted wooden spiral staircase to the top level. The whole family can gather around the poker table for quality time or retreat to one of the two Queen bedrooms—one with two Queen beds and the other with a single Queen bed. Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

  • "Yin and Yang" I was at Cape Hatteras last month to try and capture a sight of one of our heavenly visitors in the night sky - Comet Catalina. The comet is somewhat unique since this would be it's only ever visit to the inner Solar System before being ejected to interstellar space forever. It was by no means an easy target to locate and photograph in the night sky especially for someone who's never done that before. But this is not about my attempts at capturing Comet Catalina (although I did manage to view and capture it). After I was done looking at the comet, I settled by the beach next to this pier, one of my favorite places on the North Carolina Outerbanks, to hear the ocean's mesmerizing soundtrack. I still had about 2 hours to go before sunrise and so I was just sitting and enjoying the unseasonably warm winter in December and just looking at the stars, Venus, Jupiter and Mars in the night sky. I suddenly noticed this big cloud about 5 minutes in streaking just below bright Venus. On a hunch, I decided to capture an image to see what the cloud looked like and a short 15 second later, I saw the start of what turned out to be one of the most perfect sunrises I have borne witness to. The cloud had started to just pick up the first rays from the sun, with about an hour and a half to go before sunrise. I love the juxtaposition of every single element in this image. The fading of the night sky and stars with Venus shining valiantly as the sun comes back to herald the start of another day, the stretch of unbroken cloud over the hurricane damaged pier and the sheer beauty created in an otherwise damaging act of Mother Nature (the hurricane, not the sunrise :) ). This duality is what inspired the title of the image. If you're near the NC coast, this location is a must stop. It is close to the town of Buxton and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The view from common area can’t be overstated. The common area’s design is large, open and has views of the ocean and/or bay on three sides. It allowed for some great quality time with the family. The house was very clean. The two cooktops came in handy. The perfect getaway.
