The apartment, which has been thoroughly renovated in 2023, is on the 4th floor of a very quiet residential building. It has 55 m² and features 2 bedrooms – one with a double bed, the other with a daybed that pulls out to a double bed –, a bathroom with shower, a cosy living/ dining room, a fully equipped open kitchen and a sunny balcony. From there you have a fantastic view over the vivid, picturesque plaza which is beloved by locals and visitors alike. People are strolling, children are playing, the fountain patters, birds are chirping in the giant ficus tree, and neighbours are chatting on benches in the shade of trellises. On some weekends, there are fun little concerts or performances to be enjoyed. But don’t worry: the windows are double glazed and stop all noise from the square so you can enjoy a good night’s sleep.

Renfe train connects you with the city of Malaga, the Airport, the popular Plaza Mayor shopping centre, and the beaches of Benalmadena and Torremolinos, just to name a few. The main bus station is around the corner from the train station, so you can hop on a bus to Marbella or Puerto Banús. Train and busses are clean, on time, and fares are very cheap. There’s really no need for a car, but just in case: the nearest car rental is only 180 m away.

Plaza de la Constitucion
The heart of Fuengirola is the Plaza de la Constitución (Constitution Square). Also included in the part known as the town centre is a labyrinth of tiny streets stretching out from each side of the square and down to the beach.

Most of the city centre is a network of narrow pedestrian streets on either side of the square with all the little bars and restaurants. There are excellent restaurants of all kind, with tables and chairs set up to tempt you to take a seat and enjoy an international menu or a local dish. Menus are presented for you to inspect, so that you can choose the type of food and budget that suits your needs. These restaurants are open the whole year, even in the cooler winter months. This little local community is buzzing with activity all year round.

Other streets off the Plaza de la Constitución also offer some very interesting restaurants and bars, from excellent bodega type establishments with superb Spanish Serrano ham to highly imaginative vegetarian restaurants or romantic bistros. It is a pleasure to stroll around in these narrow little streets.

Paseo Maritimo (beach Promenade)
The Paseo Marítimo promenade is one of the longest promenades in Spain. It spans 7 km along most of the town’s coastline, with the Mediterranean seascapes constantly in sight. Lined with palm trees and benches, the Paseo even has a dedicated cycling lane in Fuengirola’s barrio of Los Boliches.

This is a beach where the whole family can have fun. Boats and jet skis can be rented. There is even a beach football setup, complete with goalposts. Whether as player or a spectator, the football adds to the lively, family atmosphere. Volleyball is another option on this lively beach. You can also try windsurfing and sailing or try your luck at fishing. All of these amenities only 3 minutes walk from the apartment.

Both day and night life on this promenade is a great experience with lots of fun and you will definitely never be bored.
