I travel a lot and I stay at 10-15 hotels every year, this is among top 3 that I ever stayed at. Would really recommend. â
âWhat a nice surprise of a hotel/apartment. I was a little nervous initially about the graffiti on the building, but ended up loving the place and street with all the super cool bars and restaurants that leads right Istiklal street.

âWe had a special time here! Great location for easy access to all the main spots to see! We stayed in a room with a balcony and an indoor jet tub (room for two!) it was perfect! My brother in law arranged to have the hotel make a very special arrangement my twins and my birthday - rose bouquets and roses everywhere, a cheese and fruit and wine snack and special note! We were so surprised! â
âI love the area Karaköy and Nabu Hotel is situated in in its midst (just a stone's throw away from the French Passage with many nice restaurants). The room was very nice (not huge but perfectly adequate). I had chosen a room with a balcony. The view was perhaps not the most scenic but I loved standing on the balcony at night listening to all the sound/noice around. If you are sensitive to noice Karaköy and Nabu is perhaps not the place for you. But if you love to be in an area full of life,...

âeverything was good, just need more mirror in the room, the only mirror was in the bathroom, breakfast buffet was ok, but his who was a waiter in breakfast buffet was unfriendly, I understand Turkish and heard if he doesn't talk nice after guests, I know he runs a lot during breakfast but it should be more perfectionist to work with people, the hotel website states room service but we did not get it when we requested breakfast for one of us in the roomâ

"Godt hotel med god frokost der har flot udsigt udover vandet. Eneste negative er nÄr de store fÊrger kommer ind og tager udsigten et par dage. En god lokation i nÊrheden af sevÊrdigheder og gode restauranter. "
"Jag bodde i ett annex till sjĂ€lva hotellet, fick en överraskande winter garden som vardagsrum typ. Mysigt med alla katter som sprang pĂ„ glastaket đž. Rummet var helt och rent men ingen extra lyx. Som hemma ungefĂ€r. SĂ€ngen funkade för mej, men kanske inte för alla som vill ha en hĂ€stens. Personalen var trevlig och hjĂ€lpsam. Frukosten lite enklare men god och fullt tillrĂ€cklig. "We stayed at Decamondo Galata for five days with our family. Overall, I would rate our experience a 6 out of 10.
The hotel certainly has charm and historyâhoused in a building over 1,000 years old, which adds a unique character. However, the age of the structure also means that soundproofing is lacking. We stayed on the third floor, directly beneath the restaurant, and unfortunately, we could hear noise from above throughout our stay. The sound of the staff door opening and closing early in the morning, as well as chairs being moved in the evening, disrupted our rest.
Additionally, the cot provided for our four-year-old son was too small, which made sleeping arrangements challenging. The king-size bed was also not very comfortable, which further impacted our overall rest.
On the positive side, breakfast was enjoyable, and the location is excellentâjust a short walk to Galata Tower and close to the metro. The staff were friendly and welcoming, both at reception and in the restaurant. However, the restaurant team did seem understaffed at times, which led to delays during breakfast service.
While there were definitely some positives, the noise issues and lack of comfort made it difficult for us to fully enjoy our stay. Unfortunately, we would likely look for alternative accommodation if visiting Istanbul again."
