â56 By Deco is smack bang in the middle of the old Fort district of Galle with restaurents and shops all around and the old sea wall just a five minute walk away. The hotel is very small but the rooms were clean, well equipped and quiet. The staff were super attentive and friendly. Breakfast downstairs was great and served another friendly member of the team. If you are spending a day or two in Galle I can warmly recommend.â

Sure, room was clean and location great (but then again any place inside the fort is equally convenient) but the shower only had cold water, there were no windows (so room was dark) and the internet was so slow in the room it was completely unusable. For 150 USD per night I expect a bit more. "
