“Amazing hotel in the middle of Galle Fort. Service was one of the best. Extra thanks to Madushan and Petar. We were encouraged to visit the sister hotel, Kurulu Bay. And we had an amazing afternoon and evening there. The food in the restaurant both at the Printers and at Kurulu was the best we have had in Sri Lanka so far.
We will be back! ”

“This is a lovely historic house presented with style and charm, and high standards. The staff provide the best service and are very attentive. Setting is just gorgeous with visiting shy groups of purple-faced leaf monkeys and peacocks passing through along the high walls and trees from time as you sit in the cool palm filled courtyards. And added, an excellent menu with both traditional and modern mix so well presented and tasty served in a lovely restaurant-bar setting on the deep verandahs. ”

“56 By Deco is smack bang in the middle of the old Fort district of Galle with restaurents and shops all around and the old sea wall just a five minute walk away. The hotel is very small but the rooms were clean, well equipped and quiet. The staff were super attentive and friendly. Breakfast downstairs was great and served another friendly member of the team. If you are spending a day or two in Galle I can warmly recommend.”

“This is a gem of a place - outstanding service, very clean room and bathroom. The room is small but very comfortable. Nice touch that they had turned on the AC well before my arrival, so the room was cool. The breakfast was exceptional with a variety of options, to include tasty local fruits.
And the price was unbeatable for what I received in return. I wished I had time to stay another night- alas, this was not within my travel itinerary. ”
“Normally I’m not the person who writes reviews. But this hotel really deserves a good review. Its was great staying for me. Great interior design, cozy, clean. Its so close to Galle fort by tuktuk it takes only 230 rupees.
Also staff were really really helpful, kind and caring. I had injury on my foot. They were really careful about this. Thank you Roshan and Banuka!”

“Great small hotel that I strongly recommend. Very friendly staff , warm welcome !
Very good breakfast and the room was nicely decorated. This is a very good value for money. We really liked staying at this Small House Boutique Guest House.
It is very well located. The streets nearby are so cute and there are many restaurants around.”

"Over priced. Sure, room was clean and location great (but then again any place inside the fort is equally convenient) but the shower only had cold water, there were no windows (so room was dark) and the internet was so slow in the room it was completely unusable. For 150 USD per night I expect a bit more. "
