“56 By Deco is smack bang in the middle of the old Fort district of Galle with restaurents and shops all around and the old sea wall just a five minute walk away. The hotel is very small but the rooms were clean, well equipped and quiet. The staff were super attentive and friendly. Breakfast downstairs was great and served another friendly member of the team. If you are spending a day or two in Galle I can warmly recommend.”

“Vi hade bokat ett rum med AC i tre nätter, men det blev nåt fel på bokningen så vi fick ett rum på nedre botten med fläkt, rummet är gammalt och slitet men funkar för en natt. Vi fick sedan byta till övervåningen som är nybyggd , och det var mycket bra. Nära till allt från vad till restauranger, och bada med sköldpaddor, fiskar och hajar utanför hotellet till höger. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal på hotellet. Helt ok mat om man vill äta där. ”

“You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in Galle than this. One of the best places I’ve stayed in for a long time. I loved all the thoughtful touches of a cold juice when you arrive, flowers on the best and them putting on the ac before we arrived so we could arrive to a cool room. Free tea and coffee all day and the use of a fridge and freezer was amazing. Staff were also wonderful and very helpful. Couldn’t ask for more. ”

“Small hotel. Location is a bit off, but takes a few minutes by tuk tuk from Galle Central Station. Staff is very friendly and service minded. They do everything in their power to make you feel comfortable. ”

“3泊しました！ 最初の2泊は冷房がないとは知らずで 暑くて朝まで寝れず ファンも気休めレベル 最終日は部屋が空いたので 1000ルピー追加で払ってACのある部屋へ　 ファンもめっちゃ回るしなんで快適な！ テラス、リビング、キッチン、冷蔵庫は共有 水は初日に小さいのを1本くれました^_^ 水売ってます！ アメニティは0 タオルは交換すると150ルピーかかります！ 家族で経営してるのか みなさんとてもフレンドリーでした^_^”

“Beautiful old Dutch house, lovely balcony with view of the fort walls and the sea beyond. View west to the setting sun. Swimming spot within three minutes walk. Good fan and AC. Good size room and bathroom. Very nice breakfast at a nearby property. Management and staff very helpful in a pleasant reserved way. Excellent value. Highly recommended.”

“Very nice guest house (b&b) about 25 mins walk or 5 mins by tuk tuk from centre of Galle. The hosts couldn’t be nicer or more helpful and even offered us lifts to town. Sri Lankan or English breakfasts were great. Very clean house with delightful garden in a real Sri Lankan setting. Be aware though, no hot water for showers. Overall terrific value for money.”

“Ägarinnan mkt trevlig och hjälpsam. Mysig trädgård, lite djungelliknande, vilket tyvärr medförde väldigt mycket mygg. Öppen glugg i badrummet som också gjorde att det blev mkt mygg, spindlar o kackerlackor. Fantastisk yoga i fin miljö, dome i trädgården.”

“Fantastisk familj som driver hotellet som har ett fantastiskt läge på en underbar strand. Fin trädgård och stranden som är tre kilometer lång är ren och promenadvänlig! Väldigt god mat och frukost serverades i trädgården.”

“It’s odd that the main concern here is asking travellers to pay for their stay the moment they arrive/walk back in to the property/constantly. Payment on check-put is the norm and it’s strange to continually stay in places like this in Sri Lanka where they’re just obsessed with money. We’re all going to pay you for our stays - that’s normal. Please just let us be here and enjoy and pay on departure - which is standard. ”

“Trés bien situé pour la vue direct sur l'ocean. Proprietaire a l'argent plus que pour le service. Trés éloignés du centre. Hotel un peu cher, on paie pour la vue. Je le recommande uniquement pour la vue et pour se reposer uniquement. Service de massage sur place mais un peu cher.”

“Hotellet var i fint skick och rummet var rent. Tyvärr var wifiet extremt segt och GICK INTE att använda. Vi bodde även då i ett dyrare rum. Extremt högljutt på kvällen, skrikande barn osv. Sängen var obekväm både jag och min kompis vaknade med ryggont.”

“we got the “penthouse” in the villa with views over the beach, however, there were too many flaws to this villa. We had booked two nights and we seriously considered leaving after just one. Up to the top floor we needed to go up a “fire-escape” stairway and we just thought “seriously(?)”. Inside the room we found a good variety of insects and at night we could hear rats running inside the wall or on the roof. We were lucky if we got water out of the shower and especially warm water (super small...

“We stayed in the Beach Mansion for 10 nights and we wished we could have stayed much longer. The house and its facilities are fantastic. After a roundtrip in Sri Lanka we wanted to work (online) during our stay. The house is perfectly suited for just that, but it is also very easy to relax and enjoy all the house and the surroundings offer. The house is very clean, spacious. AC in the 3 bedrooms.
