“I found this property when we had to move out earlier than planed for renovation works to our house. On arrival we were all stunned at the beauty on the gardens , the wild life, the fact we appear to be the only guests. Staff were amazing as i had 1 night were we had no where to staff, and staff were able to accommodate us. If you are looking for peace tranquillity i would highly recommend this place. “Lodge was spotless, good size, hot tub great and very relaxing.Bed was the most uncomfortable we have ever slept in the mattress needs replacing.Shower great very powerful however it didn’t drain very well and folded the floor, kitchen was great but utensils need reviewing, ie new saucepans and frying pan, oven trays needed .”

“Very clean and well maintained property. Well furnished and equipped. Our only quibble was that the bathroom was actually en-suite with the main bedroom so with elderly people requiring a toilet during the night there was an element of intrusion. However, we were all family and coped. There is also a small step in that main bedroom that our more elderly family initially found problematic so anyone booking should be aware. “We had an amazing 4 days in this beautiful cottage!”

“No check-in details given, had to contact Hoseasons twice on the afternoon of arrival to get details, to say the cabin is quieky is an understatement, if you like dark & dinghy then thats ok, the kitchen is basic and smells of old fat, beds & mattress have seen better days, if you don't mind paying over the odds to sleep in a damp portacabin look no further, if we could off afford it, we would not of stayed, but as this was not a holiday we didn't have much say,but did cut our stay short.”

“Beautiful secluded cottage in a quiet area, house was clean & tidy. Very spacious and we enjoyed our stay. Only negatives were the mattresses in the bedrooms were rock hard, owner needs to invest in a good mattress topper especially if staying more than 2 nights. No communication from the host beforehand & no bin bags or dish cloth to use on our first night. Otherwise all ok feedback! ”

“Enjoyed the weekend at Wauchope Cottage. Perfect location to explore the coast and Galloway forest area of SW Scotland. House is super clean and much more room than we expected. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved walking around. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to visit the castle to see the inside. This is a fairly remote property, so be prepared to drive to anything you need. But so quiet and peaceful.”
