“Very comfortable and welcoming place! A real hidden gem not too far away from the city. The house and property and gorgeous, the breakfast is big and delicious, and the programs that they run are great. I attended a Reiki circle that I found very helpful and relaxing. The shiatsu massage chairs are also excellent. I would return and I will recommend Rising Star!”

“The room was not up to dated at all,old furniture and the fridge has not been defrosted for a while ,you couldn’t even put your ice pack in it !”

“Suite was homely and cozy, downtown Peterborough is fairly accessible by car, and convenience store right down the road. The property has a beautiful garden visible from the patio with lots of birds visiting for those into birdwatching. Host was knowledgeable about attractions in the area, recommending multiple places for us to visit.”

“Loved everything! Never done B&B and I think I was spoiled. Spacious room, Nice bed, pillows, lighting, t.v, jacuzzi tub, or shower and an eclectic mix of items and paintings/photos to look at. Also you will not get breakfast like that at a hotel. Served when YOU are ready to eat. My kind of place. Martin and Petra are kind and direct hosts. If they were all like this I would NEVER stay in a hotel again.”

“They had microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator with freezer, TV, AC, heater, nice, clean, well maintained room though floor was sticky, their toilet were on septic system so can't flush toilet paper 1 toilet paper roll was given. Motel was located on highway and Rooms where accessible directly from outside no need to go through main door of main building.”

“This bed-and-breakfast was wonderful. Very high-end linen, towels and finishes. It was clean. It was beautiful and Rose was so accommodating and lovely. I would highly recommend you stay here. Food was wonderful too.”

“Always have an issue with this hotel. Have stayed there as part of a team's choice for a tournament; definitely not my choice! Always find something dirty, this time A/C wasn't working properly and had to make my own bed when asked for a change in sheets (due to some dirty spots found). This was because they only have 1 staff member at certain times of the day (this was at 2pm) therefore front desk person can't leave to help so anything.”
