“Best hotel in the area. Some problems like a very hard beds and the bell boys trying to extort inflated taxi prices but otherwise nice.”

“Hidden gem in the middle of plenty of things to do. The room was perfect and we were close to the restaurant for breakfast. We could easily get a car to go anywhere in the area. The Tibetan influence of the area was very engaging. There is a restaurant near there that serves a yak stew that is the best. The pics are from local places. The staff was the most curious and helpful people I have encountered.”

“Very nice stay at this little home feeling hotel. Staff are really helpful. Hotel has nice decoration that you can take photos. The front desk has some traditional clothes for us to wear to take some nice pictures. Two teenage girls had lots of fun dressing up like minority Zang people. Location is good, Walking distance to the night market and show. (15 to 20 minutes walk) Traffic is a little heavy at JiuZhaiGou, but it is normal during travel season. Only complain is wifi did not work as well...

“It is worth it to travel here if only to stay at Jiuzhai Yunshang. The views are spectacular, the rooms are spacious and warm, and the hospitality, including the meals and experiences (the horseback ride and butter tea were amazing!) are second to none. The staff are thoughtful and inviting, the rooms are architecturally beautiful—combining traditional Tibetan and modern styles—and the food is not only delicious but wholesome and rejuvenating. Don’t miss out on a unique, memorable stay!”

“I am extremely disappointed with my stay, as the room provided was completely different from what was advertised on the website. I felt misled by the hotel’s representation of their accommodations. When I raised this issue with the front desk, the staff dismissed my concerns by claiming the system automatically allocates rooms. It was only after I showed them the photos from the website that they reluctantly agreed to change my room, yet even the replacement room did not match what I had...

“I gave this stay one star for several reasons: Early-morning noise: We were woken up around 5:30–6:00 AM by continuous, loud mechanical noise. While it initially sounded like service trucks unloading, it turned out to be related to an on-site generator running. Power outage: Later that morning, between 7:00 and 7:30 AM, the entire hotel suffered a blackout. While power was restored after a few minutes, it added to a chaotic morning. Unprepared breakfast buffet: Even 30 minutes after breakfast...

“The villla was spacious and well maintained. I loved the Christmas tree that they set up in the middle of the living room. Made the place warm and special. The staff welcomed us with a sash and a dance and it was nice of them to do so. Our personal assigned Neba (butler) Jasmine Zhang, was super attentive. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and even prepare small gifts for my boy whose birthday was round the corner. The food was fantastic too! The hotel manager Gin personally came...

“Beautiful style facility. The tibetian style was gorgeous and well maintained across the whole property.”

“Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff, newly renovated rooms, amazing breakfast, free shuttle taxi to the Jiuzhaigou entrance. I highly recommend if you’re staying in Jiuzhaigou.”

“Reception area is stunning and can’t be faulted. But then the hotel lets down. Feels like it was a lovely hotel 30 year ago. The price is a lot for the area. Very nice departing gift. But unfortunately doesn’t make up for the tired and overpriced stay. ”
