“The home was clean and comfortable for the most part. I would suggest that the lighting in the bedrooms be less harsh for comfort. Bright white bulbs and florescent lighting for my family was not great. I would add that the lighting in the bathrooms for doing make up was bad (too yellow). It stated in the listing they provided bottled water but none was present when we arrived so we went to the store to purchase. If it wasn't listed I would have brought some from home. “We really enjoyed our Christmas at this house & would rent it again. The house was located on a main road, with a short driving distance to both downtown Lake Geneva and larger stores like Target & Piggly Wiggly (grocery store). The place slept 10, but we only had 5 people, so there was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen had all we needed to make & serve our meals. “The listing picture wasn't even close. Front yard was part of marina with boat trailers and cars. House was filthy and in disrepair. Bedroom mattress was wrapped in moving plastic. It caved in through the bedspring when you sat on it. Carpet was so dirty and moldy that when you walked out of the bedroom, your shoes would stick. Not much furniture and furniture that was there was curb pick up quality. Dishes and appliances were dirty. TV in bedroom was on the floor in the closet. ...
