Stugor i Geraldine Downs

“Beautiful garden”

“The property was exceptional. Our room was lovely, clean, and well-appointed. Every aspect of the renovation was clearly well planned and thoughtfully executed. It was wonderful to have ample parking right out front. We only wish we could have stayed longer. After so many generic hotels on the South Island, it was a lovely treat to find this cozy gem. We hope to return—it’s a wonderful addition to this charming town.”

“One of the best motels we stayed in during our 5 week tour of Australia and New Zealand. Exceptionally well laid out and maintained accommodation in separate cabins with nice surroundings. Great service and welcome from the proprietor. Can highly recommend and hope to come back some day!”

“The staff were extremely accommodating, great stay thank you.”

“I made a mistake with the booking date, and the host was great at helping me change it. Good location if visiting family in Temuka. Rooms are a bit cold (not unusual for NZ buildings - poor insulation is the norm for older buildings in NZ). The motel provides heaters in each room, which helped. Across the street from Night & Day dairy, good for snacks and supplies. A good option in the small town of Temuka if you dont want to trek from Timaru or Geraldine.”

“What a charming place! This place was more than I hoped. Beautiful styled while allowing for comfort. The surrounds are stunning and the home is delightful. I will be recommending this to friends who need a relaxing stop to recharge. We didn’t want to leave!!”

“A great all round experience in a country setting, great hosts, breakfast, bed and knowledge ”

“An excellent place to stay. Very clean and warm. It was a quick hop to Temuka, which had a lot of second hand shops and a cool skate park for kids. We loved the views of the mountains and seeing the cows each day. The kitchen was more than expected and the kids and I enjoyed several games of UNO, thanks for that:)Highly recommended ”

“This was the cutest little cottage, shared on the property with the owners house - totally separate and they were so so lovely and totally gave us our space. In the fields we saw sheep, cattle and even deer near the forest. We came inside and had a beautiful combustion log fire. The cabin was warm and snug in no time. Big comfy bed. Cooked a yummy roast (bought from Christchurch before we headed to the cottage). Owners supplied breakfast with fresh eggs and bread for toast. Yum. Absolutely...

“Great little house for our quick overnight stay. Fireplace was a welcome to the cold night. Thanks again”
