“Very friendly, flexible and understanding management and staff. However, the best is the food. Amazing authentic Sri Lankan food!”

“Great view of the lake but a bit away from anywhere if you like to dine out. It was out of season so the in house menu options were limited and tourist focussed. Lovely breakfast and the room was great. ”

“I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Absolutely fantastic. Asela is so helpful and even takes you in his tuk tuk into town should you require anything. The property is beautifully maintained. I recommend that you take advantage of the magnificent tradition Sri Lankan home cooked dinner. It was delicious and and so cheap and we did that twice.”

“as amazing as siguriya itself is, and it is, the staff at king's resort were the highlight. nothing was too much trouble, true professional hospitality, it was great. we were there for our 20th wedding anniversary and they made it special. sri lanka is amazing. truely. did i mention the plunge pool? you'll prob want to get that. the big pool is brilliant but the plunge pool, for us, was really special”

“A touch of paradise! The host and his family gave us the warmest welcome in the world. The room was spacious and spotless. Despite being in the forest, there wasn’t a single ant or mosquito in the room. It had the most comfortable bed and pillows. We had a lovely balcony overlooking lush greenery. Breakfast was served on the balcony every morning at our preferred time, and was undoubtedly the best breakfast I’ve had in any hotel around the world. I had informed them in advance that I was coming...

“Excellent service, location and staff”

“You will be staying in a room that when you step outside you'll feel like you are in the middle of the jungle! The room we stayed in felt very new and clean, the AC worked great and host helped you with any questions you might have. He got us a driver for a elephant safari and both the safari and the driver were excellent. The breakfast is delicious 😋”

“Stunning spot overlooking a lake where elephants have been every morning and evening of our stay (can’t see them that well in the evening!). Extremely friendly and helpful staff and the food they prepare , whether breakfast, or if you ask lunch or dinner, is extremely tasty and plentiful. We cancelled our plans and stayed an extra night it was that good. Cannot recommend enough.”

“The hotel is fabulous with high standards and great service!”

“オーナーのお父様がメインで対応してくださってるのですが、凄く親切でシギリヤロックのガイドの資格も持ってます。 困り事があれば直ぐに対応してくださいます。 朝食も美味しいです。 部屋も掃除が行き届いて、とても清潔です。 広くてのんびりできます。 個人経営の小さな規模の所はハズレも多いですがココはとてもオススメです。 シャワーもお湯が出ますし、固定式でないのもあります。”

“The family that run the accomodation were very nice people. Very helpful & accomodating. The breakfast was probably the best breakfast I’ve eaten in Sri Lanka. The string hoppers & potato curry were fantastic. The pool was quite handy in front of our room, especially after a humid day. I would stay here again for sure.”

“The property itself was nice, especially the pool. It’s in a very remote area though so count on that you have to get back early and spend your evenings there. Stuff was nice and helpful. Kind of disappointed at the high price of the dinner (higher price than in a nice restaurant in Colombo) and that they charge you for water (tripple price). I’d rather give a nice tip than to feel ripped off since you’re kind of depending on eating there. Even though it’s not much money, it destroys the overall...

“The host family is so helpful and kind. They gave great recommendations for things to do and eat as well as the occasional tuk tuk ride after dark. Highly recommend. ”

“The most disgusting room we have ever been in, sewage smell in the bathroom. No clean towels.”

“We stayed here as part of our trip through Sri Lanka and really enjoyed our time. The location was good, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and we always felt well taken care of. We can warmly recommend this place.”
