“I was in town primarily to attend a class, then my daughter joined me for a couple of days at the end of my 7-day visit. I was under the impression that this was a stand-along guest house on the property of the main house. It's actually attached to the main house, which was perfectly fine. Very private, nestled in the woods of a small, quiet neighborhood less than a mile from downtown Highlands. There were some issues with the cleanliness of the awesome screened porch and other minor details in...

“We had a small window of opportunity for a trip to Highlands, NC. I found The Zen Den on VRBO and the description met what we needed. The owner gave perfect directions on how to get to our location (the gps would have never got us there) and had turned the heat on before our arrival. The place was very clean and comfortable. The cooking situation was very limited but for our short stay it was fine. For two people and a short stay the Zen Den was perfect!”

“The property was beautiful and the hosts were very helpful! It was the perfect spot for a getaway with friends! The location was perfect as it was a short drive from town and right on a gorgeous lake, where we had access to canoes and kayaks. We went on a few gorgeous hikes around the area (Whiteside Mountain, High Falls, and Rainbow Fallls at Gorges National Park). I highly recommend staying here, and I can’t wait to book my next trip!”

The suite is located in the peaceful and quiet Mirror Lake area, just a short walk from the town of Highlands. The suite was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a comfortable bed, plush towels, and a fully equipped kitchenette.”

“Loved the vibe, comfort and coziness of Holly’s apt. The place looks recently renovated and was well provisioned. It was very quiet and peaceful.. Only had 2 days, but would have liked to stay longer.”

“So, I booked our room back in September, October of 2021. Between then and when our trip was, the property changed owners. Apparently, there was a bit of a mixup with the booking and the whole lodge was booked for a reunion. We get there to check in, and not only do they still accommodate us, despite the mixup, they gave us an upgrade for no extra charge. We were staying for our anniversary and were absolutely thrilled with everything. We will definitely visit again in the future.”

“We arrived a little early and Jason was very accommodating. The condo was gorgeous, the deck awesome, the only disappointing part was the screen door in the bedroom leading to the balcony was missing so we were unable to leave the door open and listen to the sounds..”

“Wonderful, relaxing. Owners warm and welcoming. Fresh, homemade pound cake and sprigs of fresh flowers and greenery adorned the cottage upon our arrival. The ever-changing mountains shouted out in majestic glory splashing her radiance upon our front porch view. A waterfall trailed peacefully behind the cottage with a swing that beckoned one to sit awhile. Location great for diverse activities: hiking, sightseeing, shopping, zip line.
